with the glowering crescent moon through the cold corridors of the nonaka mansion, the weeping of what seemed to be a woman in distress was heard. and along with the sobs that made the atmosphere feel molten and rather rotten to its core, a continuous sound of hard leather shoes was heard as well, clanking slowly as the owner of it walked.

"tell me now, kamine... how does it feel?" with no pity or any care at all associating with his cold voice, manjiro sano proclaimed with an uninterested and impulsive gaze. he walked over to his 'dearest accomplice' that he had shot straight at the chest and appended.

"being the one on the verge of dying?" hearing this, the weeping woman cried silently in pain, feeling as though her heart was being ripped apart like a piece of paper as she saw the only person she only ever granted her esteem company giving her the most painful blow there is for her.

and apart from that, she could barely even move a single limp on her body. let alone to even speak.

realizing what was even happening, she only then trembled, knowing the fact that she was going to finally die. her arms were sprawled to her sides, wearing a pristine white nightgown--- an undeniably ironic dress on the time of her death that made her look like a dying angel.

only, she was never worth being compared to an angel. after all, of all the names and entities that described her, a fiend was more than enough to define how despicably disgusting she really was. and this fiend was now lying on the floor, painfully dying.

but, out of all the alternatives there are, why is it that the gods are cruel enough to let her die in the hands of bonten's leader? manjiro sano, whom she adored and followed? why does she even get to die in his hands in the first place?

giving her final snicker, tears flowed through her eye sockets as she tried her best to give the man a response, only for it to come out as a mere disclosure of any connection to his ears. manjiro grimaced, then he heard.

"well, my dearest liege... i gotta say," she uttered, her breathtaking obsidian eyes losing their glittering beauty slowly as she spoke her final words while staring at the empty eyes of the man who stood towering over her with a gun at the ready.

then she smiled, losing her rights to even think straight as she felt her heart slowly stopping its necessary movements for a human to live.

"it's actually pleasant to know that it's finally your time. although... despite the pain and misery you had inflicted along with it, i think i really deserved it considering that i've ruined others' lives as well... just to satisfy your needs.

"over the years i have served you, i have never completely realized how much of an asshole you really are. i should've... actually, i should have just followed draken. you've been blinding me after all these years.

"and all i gotta say is that... you, manjiro sano, are anything but a great person. if i could, i'll get my revenge, you... " though, before finishing her statement with one last word, the sound of a chiming clock, reminding people that it's already midnight, was heard.

and the shock written on manjiro's face was visible as he heard the next word that came out from her lips. pathetically, kamine then died with the art of her final laugh etched across her face. "...murderer."
