Tokyo never stood a chance, she walked with the heavy feeling of rejection and failure once again as she walked through the beautiful streets of Tokyo, Japan.
She just finished her board exam a few hours ago, failed, and is now walking alone after finding out the horrible news of having to receive the word 'rejected' from the inaugurate institute her father expected her to be accepted at as one of the youngest service workers internationally.
Aside from that, now she had a reason to call herself a complete disappointment. It was ridiculous even to be named after a city by her dim-witted parents, she chuckled in disappointment because of the thought and continued to walk through the wet sidewalks of Tokyo.
Half-hoping that the light rain that sprinkle the city with drops of water would finally stop since she wouldn't be able to handle the disgust of letting muddy shoes into her apartment.
Tokyo Hanemiya, that was her name. As beautiful and advanced as the wonders of the city of Tokyo itself.
A young adult capable of pretty much do anything because of her intelligence, beauty, and status in life. In fact, she might as well be one of the most polished and matured seventeen year old in her country, probably.
"I failed the board exam, Father." Tokyo mumbled as she continued to walk with an emotionless face, a phone placed right beside her ears.
Judging from the way one would describe her vocals, it was easy to say that the girl was suffering under such oppressed pressure. Her eyes were filled with no emotion as the truth leaked out of her mouth.
"I can't become the daughter you want me to be, father." Tokyo truthfully says, hand tightly gripping on the phone. She walked at a more quick pace, passing several citizens who were enjoying their time in the central city of Japan while her heart beated fast, waiting for her father whom she was speaking with to finally answer.
But only then did she feel her heart drop once she heard her father spoke in such a disappointed way.
"I knew it, you're just as crippled as your younger brother and even like your mother. Why did I even bother believing in you, tch." Tokyo heard her father's words echoing through her mind, which was then followed by the beeping sound of the phone that signified the call has ended.
Tokyo didn't stop walking in a faster phase and simply continued to move on forward, even as the blinding light of the city bothered her slightly blurry vision, she continued. In fact, she even lowered her phone away from her head and simply threw the gadget away to who knows where.
The girl bit her lips in lament and sorrow as she heard her father's word still echoing inside her head, making her mind go crazy and feral. At this point, Tokyo was running as her lips quivered and her eyes decided to wet themselves.
How horrid it was to see a broken child running away from the truth with the sense of failure, even with such a suicidal ambiance with her that deeply ruined her current mindset.
Her abrupt action caught the crowd's attention, giving her such pitiful eyes that it made her situation and oppressed feelings get more uncontrolled.
"No! I was never a failure! Rah, I never was!" She yelled, catching the attention of the Japanese citizen who was peacefully minding their own business. Tokyo ran, her freezing cold hands clasped on her ears as she tried escaping from believing such words her father told her.
Tears streamed down her face, Tokyo was sobbing endlessly as she kept running without having a location or goal in mind. Her eyes look tired and exhausted, as well as her soul.
She just kept running, sobbing, and trembling while the beautiful yet freezing ambiance of the city rapped her in such uncomfortable sensation that furthermore ruined her disposition and temper.
The next thing she knew, she was in the middle of a wet and slippery road, her heel making it difficult for her to walk.
With only the lights of multiple vehicles that blinded her and the loud honking of trucks were there to accompany her, everything was reverberating and defeaning to her soul.
She felt extremely distraught, Tokyo felt helpless as she thinks things through until she heard a voice.
Isn't it just a nice time to just die? From the back of her head, her inner self whispered. Her breathing stopped and she stopped pushing herself into the crowd.
Her eyes widened as if she realized a way to escape the torture she was under. Her lips trembled and tears leaked from her eye sockets, she didn't move one bit despite being in the middle of a busy road filled with dangerous ways to be killed.
Yet, even if she knew that, she let herself be and shooed the few people who noticed her suicidal state. She lowered her eyes, stared at her freezing and trembling hands, and thought. Yes, sometimes Death is one of the ways a sad soul can finally rest and be happy- right?
She raised her head, agreeing with what her mind was saying to her. She expressed a little smile, suicidal thoughts gliding through her mind as she looked forward only to see the blinding lights of a vehicle no one knew could be so big.
People were calling out to her, yelling for her to stand back or else she'll get hit by the car that attempted to stop.
But Tokyo knew what she was doing, until a thought came crashing down her mind. Oh, so you're risking Kazutora's life by dying?
Upon the extravagant entrance of that thought, Tokyo's eyes widened and as if she wasn't even trying to kill herself earlier, she yelled from the back of her head. Son of a b- I can't die yet!
Tokyo let out of shriek, attempting to get herself away from the middle of the road, but that didn't work as she intended and she ended up gasping over her own uncontrolled outburst of suicidal decisions.
Until maybe someone arrived to rescue her, out of spite.
