Being the golden child was never an easy rolE, especially with an unappreciative family such as the Hanemiya household. One mistake will never be ignored, either you learn from it or get punished because of it.

And whenever such a mistake is spotted or is just simply a mere act that disappointed the head of the family, a punishment that's extreme as domestic abuse and emotional violence shall await Hanemiya Tokyo.

For almost a decade, she suffered that kind of torture under her father's deathly and strictly scrutinized household. Away from her mother and younger brother, Tokyo has always been somewhat a child who's broken and beyond repair with all the loneliness, sadness, and responsibilities she had to carry.

For twelve years, plus her five years of oppressed childhood, Tokyo has always been separated from her brother and mother who later was divorced by her father due to not being able to reach his expectation. Because of that, she was taken into a more distilled institute away from her family, with only her father supporting her.

Now Tokyo Hanemiya was seventeen years old, a young adult who grew with such reliance, wisdom, and mastery. She was an advanced academic student who studied in one of the most prestigious universities to ever uphold and honor the name of her country.

But unlike normal university students, she's hasn't had her coming-of-age ceremony yet.

"Do your best, don't disappoint." A stern and strict voice echoed around her head. Looking in front of her, Tokyo couldn't help but fiddle with her fingers as she sees her father looking at her with such a stone-hard expression and gaze.

"Get that acclaim, just as we worked hard for. Your mother and grandparents are gonna be hearing about the results."

She simply nodded her head, pursing her lips together as she let out a mumble. "And Kazu too, right?" She mentions her juvenile brother, causing her father to raise an eyebrow and sigh. She frowns because of this and bowed her head.

"Yes, and Kazutora too." He said, waving his hand as an acknowledgment before peeking on his wristwatch and nodding. Because of his gesture, Tokyo gently smiled. "You better go on, you're not going to become a neurologist unless you move your hands and pass that board exam."

"Yes, Father." Upon hearing her father's words, she respectfully excused herself and walked into the entrance of the huge university hall she was dropped off to.

She smiled through the hardship, forcing herself to stand firm and confident despite the fact that her hands trembled in fear of having to lose her father's faith and pretty much her whole life goal if she does fail.

But hopefully, even if she does fail, someone would be there for her.
