The woman adorned with fine possessions couldn't believe her eyes when she saw her father drop dead in front of her.

Slowly, yet struck with unmistakable fear and surprise, she looked up only to see the piercing purple orbs of the person who murdered her father in front of her own eyes.

She trembled, tugging on the hem of her dress as she started spilling an uncontrollable amount of tears as her gaze went back to her father's body, laying on top of his own pool of blood.

Her red lips quivered, she felt frightened as she saw the trickling pigments of blood sprayed across her face, causing her to fall down her knees in uncontrollable despair and bafflement.

"Ah n-no, MY FATHER!" Y/n l/n screamed at the top of her lungs the moment she realized what lies in front of her, reaching out for her father whose breath became shortened and shallow.

She trembled unknowingly, she couldn't even lift a finger properly without shuddering upon the sight of her slowly dying father. "DAD, DON'T DIE! JUST DON'T- DAD!"

Her face had the expression of a doomed person, she unconsciously pressed her palms onto her ears as she trembled weakly upon hearing her father's dying breath.

She bit her red lips, quivering as she process how her body can't even cooperate with her due to too much shock and apprehension. But that was until her eyes landed on the tall figure that stood in front of her and her dying father.

Her breath hitched upon her e/c eyes landing on the purple ones of her father's murderer. Her trembling stopped and at this point, as she stared at the man, every single motion of her body came to a halt and her then horrified and anguished was slowly ambushed by an emotionless expression.

The bits and bobs of her tears were still there, her eyes looking puffy as she gave the murderer a death stare.

"I'm truly sorry, miss y/n. But I'm doing this because of my boss." Ran Haitani muttered with a gentle yet ambitious smile.

Slowly, he cocked a gun in front of her, having no clear depth of pity as he gazed at the dismayed woman who dropped down on her knees, looking at him with dead eyes.

But instead of having to fear his appearance, it was more like the woman didn't bother him at all, and all that was imprinted on her mind was that her father was slowly meeting death's door.

"Wow, you killed my father... with a smoking gun? You killed my Dad, Asia's top-notch mafia leader, and in front of his daughter?" Y/n mumbled under her breath, her eyes suddenly lowering again as she calmed her body, hopelessness surging through her veins.
