"Looks like it's about to rain, damn it. Guess bad luck exists." Chifuyu whispered to himself, his eyes narrowing in annoyance as he eyes the grey sky hovering above him.
It was an undeniably windy day when Chifuyu decided to bring himself to buy his precious feline, Peke j, some stock cat food. Well, the cat was annoying him to the core so he might as well get some fresh air and buy what he thought to have been what his feline desperately wants.
Moreover, it's not that he was lazy nor was he ignorant of his little friend's being, it's just that he's been too indulged with the fact that he now joins a gang led by one of the strongest delinquents in Shibuya.
He let out a sigh because of this and simply shrugged upon recollecting what had happened a few days ago when he met the very first person of his age that he looked up to— Baji Keisuke.
But as that person came to his mind, he couldn't help but suddenly think of something. "Wait a minute, do I have spare money here?" He mumbled to himself, fishing out something in his pockets which made him raise a brow.
Fortunately, a huge grin can be seen on his face the moment he just suddenly pulled out a money bill from his pocket. "Nice! Mom wouldn't mind it if I brought Yakisoba with this, right?"
Slightly lively, Chifuyu made his way to the nearest convenience store while humming, a large plastic bag being held by his right hand which contained Peke J's cat food. He was fond of his cat, so of course, he'll go as far as buying him cat food.
However, as the sky started to go gloomy the moment he caught sight of one of the nearest convenience stores, Chifuyu raised a suspicious eyebrow when he suddenly heard a sudden sound of a damsel in distress.
"—think you can get away from us, you wench!" The mocking sound of a man who seems to have been yelling at a girl was what Chifuyu heard. Of course, the blonde delinquent flinches because of it.
He was about to think if he was going to interfere, but his decision-making came to a halt when he heard the rumbustious sound of someone hitting the wall, which was then followed by a yelp that obviously belongs to a girl.
Recklessly, even without thinking of what fight he was about to meddle in, Chifuyu immediately came into action and interfered with the fight going on just a few steps away from him at the side of the convenience store.
Arriving at the scene, Chifuyu was welcomed with the unfavorable and unpleasant sight of a slightly bruised girl being held by the collar of her school uniform by a huge delinquent. And not only one delinquent was seen there, but there were also by far a dozen of sketchy teenagers who're clearly affiliated with some gang.
Instantly, he came over the fact that maybe this girl has done something terribly wrong with these delinquents. "Tch, threatening a girl? ...Lame—!" Chifuyu managed to utter with a lazy grin as he glared at one of the delinquents.
When one of the dozen of delinquents noticed his presence, of course, there was no chance that they wouldn't cuss at him for interfering with their business.
"Get the fuck outta here! Who even are you, can't you see we're doing something now?" One of them yelled, stepping from the darkness and giving the 14-years-od Chifuyu a glare.
Gulping, Chifuyu averted his eyes from the delinquents and glanced at the girl being threatened. His blood boiled because of this, seeing how the girl seemed to have been helpless made him annoyed. But just as he was about to make way for himself and recklessly fight them off without much thought, he was interrupted by the girl screaming at him.
"WHAT, ARE YOU A MORON?!" The girl being pinned on the wall yelled, causing Chifuyu to flinch.
He looked over at the girl as though he was being joked around with. He looked at her with a pissed expression. However, the moment he caught sight of her appearance, a huge wave of unknown feeling started to rush through him.
Well, for instance, he could never not notice the fact that she looked undeniably familiar to the one and only first divisional caption of Tokyo Manji Gang. Yeah, no shit sherlock, she's related to him. And the eloquent yet aggressive mannerism of the way she glared at him, Chifuyu felt his knees numbing.
Furthermore, the fact that her eyes resembled that of a beautiful and gleaming sapphire made Chifuyu stop on his tracks, manipulating him as though he was nothing more than a marionette with a lost puppeteer.
"This is none of your business, get the f— Ugh!" The girl with flowing raven hair yelled, though her statement was cut short when the guy holding her collar suddenly slammed her back to the convenience store wall and held her above the cement floor.
"Don't interfere, kid. You don't know what kind of bad luck this girl will give you if you interact with her." A delinquent who came out of nowhere stated, staring at Chifuyu with a tired look on his face.
This delinquent was wearing a jade-colored tokkoufuku or a gang uniform that is sewed with several kanjis, and had slightly messy hair that made people not see his tired yet threatening eyes. Chifuyu scowled because of this and glared back at this guy.
"What the hell do you mean about that?!" Chifuyu muttered angrily, balling his fist. "Make that guy let go off her or else—!"
"Hmmm, and what if I say that I don't want to?" He threw at him, a lazy smirked embedded on his face. " By the way, you are Matsuno Chifuyu, right?"
Chifuyu widened his eyes in surprise, wondering how the hell he was able to realize who he was. He bit his lips and glanced at the girl being held hostage and back at this guy. Albeit, before having been able to question how he was able to know his identity, he spoke once again.
"Hmm, say [y/n], doesn't his name sound familiar?"
