Loki's hostage

Only one other way

Relief passes over his face as he can't contain his beaming smile.
which however, is not reciprocated by yourself.
"Amelia, I'm so glad I've found you"
You stare, arms folded
"Found? Since when was i lost?" You firmly say
"Well you just jumped into one of the worst apocalypses, i assume you didn't know, so here i am, now we can get back"
"Well i did quickly realise once i got here. And no, I'm not going with you Loki, you said everything you needed to, and i certainly do not need saving, you're too used to people kneeling for you Loki, but understand me when i say that wont be happening from me, not again anyway" you twitch your eyebrows
You sense an anger building inside him.
"We cannot stay here Amelia"
"I don't intend to, so you can go back to yourself and never have to see me again"
He looks at you, deflated and concerned.
"What is it?" You close your eyes and sigh out of frustration
" i don't have one, a Tempad, you're my only way out"
A slight smile crosses your lips
"Oh am i?" You smirk
"Well looks like you will have to find another way out by yourself won't you?"
You look to Nina sitting trying to mind her own business, you see her flash an approved smile.
"Not my fault you came after me, you made your feelings very clear"
"Amelia, you have to know i didn't mean that, this time we've spent together you thought that was the truth? You have to go back home, i told you you meant nothing to me, i thought it would be easier for you to leave and forget everything"
You drop your folded arms, shifting nervously
"You said what you said Loki, which part am i supposed to believe? You're not exactly trustworthy, you've done much worse"
He shakes his head moving closer to you, he looks down, sighs then looks back up to you.
"Ive never had to break my own heart"
He holds out his hand.
"Please lets just go, even if you don't believe me, even if you never want to see me again, but at-least let me know your safe back home"
"No tricks?" You question
"Not again"
"Fine" you get out your Tempad 
"You could come too, get away from here, a free pass out, a new start?" You look to Nina with begging eyes
"No my dear, this is where i belong"
You force a smile.
You look to the Tempad then back to Loki.
"Do you need me show you how to select a specific location?" Loki asks
You don't reply, just hold it in your hand, contemplating.
"Amelia, we need to go"
You look at him, your mind racing, your heart pounding, uncertainty washing over you.
"We can't" you pass him the Tempad
"Its dead"
He looks to you, eyes wide, you see the moment his mind gets to where yours is, you're both stuck on a planet in imminent destruction, with no way off.

Loki closes his eyes, tensing his jaw
"I should of know"
"How could you of known, we barely know how these things work"
"How could i not of known, of course he would"
Loki starts pacing muttering to himself
"Argh, tricked by myself. He saw a weakness in me and took it, of course he did. He must of planned it, pushing me to get her to leave, enticing her  with his Tempad in his hand, no wonder it was still set to here, it was his plan, and telling me she ended up here, and for me to come after her" he runs his hands though his hair.
"He must of know his Was running out of battery, just enough left for one more jump, now he has ours, Argh!" He angrily picks up a mug and throws it on the floor.
"Hey!" Nina exclaims
You hold up your hands in apology
"Loki" you walk over to him
"I need to find him"
"And do what?" You ask, Looking deep into his eyes
Loki lowers his shoulders "how could i of been so stupid, i wasn't focused, i should of seen it"
You hear a chuckle coming from behind you, you both turn to face Nina, sitting in her chair, smiling. You both look to her perplexed
"Thats what Love does to you, you become blindsided, you cannot see whats happening around you"
You stare at her wide eyed, then back to Loki who has the same expression
"I mean, no one said anything about Love, i care for her, but, i mean, its not love" he fidgets uncomfortably, a slight flush in his cheeks.
Nina shrugs her shoulders
"maybe you haven't put two and two together yet, but its there"
You shake your head, amused by her words you chuckle "he's right, we care for each other, we've been pushed together through this, its only natural to become close, but Love? I think we can both agree thats not whats happening here" you laugh nervously
You look back to Loki, he looks up at you and pauses for a second before nodding. You see him look over your shoulder then to the door, he rushes to the door to look out of the peep hole.
"Is there a way off here?" He asks her
She nods "as i said to Amelia before you came, there is, but it isn't guaranteed. The rescue ship leaves in.." she looks to her watch
"12 hours"
"Then lets go" Loki rushes "we have plenty of time" he holds out his hand for yours
"You need to take the train, you need a ticket, thats where you will become stuck. I wish you both all the luck"
"You can come too, you don't have to stay here, you know you will die?"
"Oh i know, I've made peace with that, but you both go, take some of these with you"
She passes you two weapons.
You take them and hand them to Loki. You wrap your arms around her, not wanting to let go.
"Thank you" you say as you squeeze her a little tighter.
"Its always worth it No matter how uncertain, how hard or unwanted it is, Love is always worth it" she whispers in your ear
She pulls back and smiles.
"Now go and get off this planet and get home"
You go to join Loki by the door. He quickly moves past you, walking up to Nina.
"Thank you for keeping her safe for me"
"No, not for you, for her, shes more than capable by herself" she quips
She grabs his hand as he's about to turn.
"but you don't let her go again, take it from me, if you do, you will regret it until your last days"
Loki looks at her hand holding his, noticing a wedding ring, he looks back to her, he nods.
"Every 15 seconds theres a gap, if we time it we can run to that shelter" you state
Lokis concentration is brought back to you.
"Ok, you tell me when and we go"
You both stand by the door, you hear an eruption and start counting.
"NOW" you shout as you push the door open, you both clamber outside and start to run.
The heavy door, slowly self closing, as Nina watches you, leaving the shelter once again feeling empty.
