Loki's hostage

You hit the ground.
"Argh" you groan as you clamber to your knees
Your mind still swirling. You pat down your body, looking over at all your limbs. Just checking you're still in one piece. Loki flashes through your mind, for a blissful second you had forgotten the hurt of him leaving you, pushing you through that door. You hang your head for a second, anger and sadness battling each other.
You get up to your feet as you hear footsteps approaching you. The sadness settling as you can't help but smile.
"Steve" you look to him in relief, you run up to him, throwing your arms around him. Tears escaping you as you feel him squeeze you tightly.
"I missed you so much Amelia" he places his hand on the back of your head, pulling you in tighter. "We've all missed you" he adds
"Im sorry Steve, god its been crazy, i need to explain it all to you! you must of been so worried"
He pulls back, placing your face in his hands, smiling at you.
"We were, you just vanished"
"I can't even think where to start"
You look over Steves shoulder as you see the rest of the team sitting, watching.
You burrow your brow, slightly confused.
"Something going on? Theres only usually one reason the whole team is together?"
He starts walking over towards them "come on" he signals you to join him
"This is weird"
"What is?" He asks
"How long have i been gone? you don't seem to shocked that I've just appeared, through a door, a magic door, a magic time door may i add. This seems like a welcoming home party"you stop, waiting for some reaction from him.
"Just come on will you, they all want to see you"
"You sure?" You say in jest
He nods and opens the door, they all come hurling towards you, hugs coming from every angle.
"So happy you're back"
"We've missed you"
"Its been so long, I'm so glad you're back"
You take a deep breath as everyone gathers around you.
You force a smile as you feel slightly unnerved.
" i have a crazy story to fill you all in on" you joke
The room stays silent, a couple of feet shuffle.
"Ok, ok, this is getting to weird now, am i the only one surprised by my unannounced return?  No questions, no where have you been?"
You look around the room.
"Come on, nothing?" You look to them in disbelief.
"Shall i just go back then?" You sarcastically say before turning around.
Steve shakes his head, standing next to you, he placing his arm around your shoulders, you turn your head to look to him.
"We have no questions to ask Amelia, we already know everything."
"What?" You look to him quizzically
"Well, it took a few years for us to listen, it personally took me longer. but he was very persistent, eventually we did listen, and well, you arriving at the exact time and date is the proof we have been waiting for"
"We were worried the whole time, but we were reassured you were fine, if you didn't come back today, it would of been a different story"
Your mind and heart racing, fighting with each other to who can be the fastest. You just stare blankly at Steve, his mouth moving, but you barley heard a word after "he was very persistent"
"Steve, i love you, i love you all, but you have to tell me, is he... is Loki alive?"
"Its been how long? 11 years? How did he tell you? Did he come back? Was he ok? Is he ok?"
"Oh god" you start to hyperventilate
"Amelia" Steve takes you by the shoulders
"So its all true? Your love for each other? You and Loki?"
You nod, tears rolling down your eyes, unsure if they're yet from happiness or sadness.
"A lot has happened Amelia, a lot has changed, things are different from what you will remember, or what you may of thought could happen"
"Steve just tell me please, right now i don't care, i just need to know if he's alive, then i can work out the rest" your eyes pleading with him
His eyes quickly dart over your shoulder then back to you, a smile forming in the corners of his mouth
"You can see for your self"
Your pounding heart skipping a beat as you pause. You take a deep breath and slowly breath it out as you turn around.
Your eyes meet his, his warm smile fills your heart as you run over to him, jumping into his arms.
You feel his embrace, His arms tightly squeezing you, his face nuzzled into your neck, you feel his lips place a gentle kiss on you. for you it had barely been a minute, but you missed him none the less, you couldn't imagine how he feels.
"Loki?" You look to him with pride, your arms around his neck, looking at his slightly aged handsome face.
"You did it" you grin
"All because of you, you saved me Amelia"
You run your fingers through his hair, smiling at him, you lean in and place your lips on his.
