You rest against a wall, both trying to catch your breath before running again. The gaps in between attacks are getting longer, allowing you more rest.
"We just need to get past this clearing" Loki points to the open space to your left
"There isn't anything attacking beyond that wall"
"How fast can you run?" You smirk
"We have about 30 seconds after the next hit"
He lets out a deep breath
"Ready?" You raise yourself off the wall. You both wait in hesitation. The impact comes from your right, you both begin running out in the open, nothing to cover you, you race against time to get to the wall.
The wall is in your sights, you look to your left and see Loki at your side. You see a shadow slowly cover you both, you quickly look up to see a craft hover above you.
"Loki Run that way, Run" panic sets in, you urge him to run quicker in the opposite direction. You both quickly divert left. The missile just misses you, but the impact sends you hurling to the ground, you clamber to your feet, Loki grabs your hand pulling you towards him. Your hand tightly gripped in his, he leads you away, your mind foggy, unable to focus. A dust cloud encases you both, you squeeze his hand harder as you continue to run. You hear another missile hit the ground.
You stop.
"Loki?"
"We're here, climb up" he grabs you, you put your hands on the wall and pull yourself up and over, quickly followed by Loki. You both slide down the wall panting. Both covered in dust, you look to Loki and place your hand back into his and smile.
"Loki's are certainly survivors aren't they" you smile at him.
"Come on, we should go" you tilt your head towards the train in the distance. You stand up and hold your hand out to help Loki up, he takes it with willingness.
You both start walking towards the train, noticing the line getting longer and longer, people begging, distressed, pleading with their lives.
"Loki" you look to him, guilt and sadness present in your eyes
"We have to, we cant think about them, every man for themselves"
"But..." you begin to question
"No!" He snaps
"We cannot save them all, who would you choose? You cannot, therefore you choose yourself"
You look to him, riddling with guilt. He holds out his hand, you take it.
"We wont get anywhere looking like this" he says looking around at the queue and at the elegantly dressed people being allowed to board.
He magics his clothes back into his Asgardian leather suit.
He then hovers his hands over you, your clothes quickly disappear and revealing the same dress he created for you back in Asgard.
You look down and smile.
"You look incredible" Loki looks at you eyes wide, a huge grin on his face.
"Oh i know" you wink to him and walk off confidently, he freezes for a second watching you walk off, before shaking his mind free and catching up to you.
"So, how do we do this? I mean, it doesn't look like we can just walk on, they have tickets"
Loki eases you into the front of the queue, his hand on your lower back
"Trust me?" He questions
You nod.
You both move closer to the guard, he looks you up and down and twitches his eyebrows. You quickly turn to Loki who also seemingly noticed his interest in you, his face stern, an anger in his eyes. You quickly nudge him, brining his concentration back to the task in hand.
"Tickets" the guard asks
Loki pats down his clothes. You look to the guard rolling his eyes.
"They're here somewhere"
"I will have to move you on if you don't have them" the guard stand firm, hand on his weapon.
You watch as Loki tilts his head slightly, watching the couple next to you take their tickets from their pocket, in a flash he had replicas in his hand, he quickly passes them over. You watched Loki as the man scans the tickets, holding his breath.
"Welcome aboard Mr & Mrs Smith"
You look to Loki then at the guard and smile, Lokis hand still firmly resting on you bottom of your back ushering you onto the train, the slow eruption of an argument starting from the couple left outside.
You make your way down the carriages.
"Here" Loki points as he looks up from his ticket
"Looks like we have ourself a room"
"A room? How long are we on here for" you ask rhetorically
"I guess longer than we thought, gives us some time to rest" he walks in sitting on the end of a wonderfully made bed, the room small, but a huge bed taking centre stage, and a bathroom off to the left, is all you need.
You sit down next to him, resting your feet for a second.
"Seeing as we have all night to relax, i think we should go and get a drink, workout what the hell we do from here on"
Loki lets out a long sigh, obvously having a slightly different idea for your evening.
He stands up reluctantly, you turn to him and smile, grabbing his hand you pull him towards you, pushing your lips onto his.
"Don't fret, we wont be out too long" you pull at his belt bringing him closer to you, your breath on his neck.
A smile spreads across his face as he looks you up and down.
"Don't tease me" he clenches his jaw
"Or what?" You raise your eyebrows and walk out of the door.
Loki throws his head back, composing himself, he walks out, following closely behind you, watching your hips sway as you walk a few paces ahead, biting his lip thinking about all the things he would rather be doing to you now.
You head to the bar and take a seat. Looking around you at all the eloquent, rich people on board. A sudden urge to be sick fills you, the thought of the people left, poor people, that never had a chance.
A waiter walks past with a tray of champagne, you take two and quickly down one, hoping the alcohol will numb you from the pain of not helping them. Loki holds out his hand for his glass, but you down that one too, looking at you in surprise, he turns around and calls the waiter over, taking two more glasses from his tray, Loki smiles and passes you one.
"Everything ok?"
You nod "just thirsty" you chuckle
He gives you a pressing look
"I just want to enjoy an evening, forget about the people we couldn't help, I'm not used to being so selfish, so hopefully this will help" you raise your glass
"You needed to be selfish, you need to survive, you have purpose"
You shrug, not agreeing, but not wanting a confrontation.
You raise your glass again and clink it onto his "to our evening" "maybe our last".
Loki takes a deep breath "cheers"
"If it is, I'm glad I'm back with you" he says before taking a sip
Your cheeks blush slightly, no matter how much time you spend together, how many times you've had your legs wrapped around him, he still has the ability to make you nervous.
"Well to be fair, i didn't have a choice, but I'm glad too" you smile.
"Come on, lets dance"
Loki stays seated, reluctant.
You grab his hand "come on, unless you want me to dance with someone else?" You slowly start walking off, looking at him over your shoulder, you gradually make your way over to a man sitting alone, flashing him a smile.
Loki quickly stands "fine, fine"
A smirk spreads across your face as he finishes his drink and joins you.
