Cassy's POV
"Hindi mo na makakasayaw si Shaun."
Fudge.
Namumuo na ang mga luha ko. Lumingon ako kung saan nanggaling yung boses pero nabigo ako makita kung sino yun.
Wala na. Feeling ko nasira na make up ko, pati nga mundo ko parang nawasak na.
Biglang may nag flash sa screen na isang video. Nandun si Shaun, nakajacket, basta parang ang kapal ng suot nya tapos namumula ilong nya.
"Hi, Cassy." Panimula niya. "Sorry di ako nakaabot sa part ng debut mo kung saan kailangan ako. Sumama pakiramdam ko eh. Inaatake ako ng trangkaso. Sorry, alam kong umasa ka na dadating ako jan sa spot na yan." Tapos bigla syang nag-achoo. Hahaha, cutie. "Huwag mo na pansinin yun, ang pangit ko dun. Anyways, happy happy happy birthday! Uhm, yung about dun sa past? Forget na lang. Haha! Sana mag-enjoy ka ngayon dahil araw mo 'to and wish you all the best! More birthdays to come!" Tapos nag flying kiss sya and nag end yung video.
"Miss Cassy..." Sabi nung emcee sa may microphone.
Lumingon naman ako dun sa emcee habang pinupunasan yung mga luha ko. I thought that my event will be ruined just because of those six words, but no. Thank you, Lord!
Pagkalingon ko, nakita ko si Ray holding a bouquet of roses in an ombre colored something like cloth.
Binigay nya ito sa akin. I opened the card attached to it saying, "Can I court you?"
I was so surprised and tears of joy are falling from my eyes. I looked at mom and dad, they're just smiling. I think they already know about this.
May nag flash uli na video sa screen.
"Hi Cassy! So, what now? Live 'to! Tignan mo oh, nakalagay 'skype'." Childish as always. Haha! "Ano nang sagot mo? Oh. For all the guests, baka hindi po kayo maka-relate. Uhm, yung nakalagay po kasi dun sa card na nasa bouquet is I'm asking her out if I could court her and I'm waiting for the answer of this young and beautiful lady." Then he smiled. "Cassy?" Everyone's quiet, waiting for my answer. The emcee gave me the microphone for louder voice. I just looked at everyone, thinking what should I answer.
"Cassy, wait. Before you answer, let me give you an another surprise."
Ang hilig nya talaga sa surprises.
After 5 seconds, nawala na yung video.
Nagtataka ako kung saan ba pumunta yun. Hay. Ano na naman bang kalokohan ginawa nun?
Linagay ko muna yung bouquet dun sa table nila mom for them to guard it. Mga ilang minuto ang lumipas, I saw Shaun walking towards me with his tux on him.
"I thought you have flu?"
"Yeah. But of course, I will do anything for the one that I love."
He's sweet. A smile just formed on my face.
"Ehem. So Cassy, I'll ask you formally." Then, inayos nya yung tux nya at dahan-dahang kinuha sa akin yung microphone. "Cassy, can I court you?" Madaming guests ang nag sasabi na, 'Wag ka na choosy!' 'Mahal ka nyan!' 'Bagay kayo!' Mapapailing ka na lang talaga kasi feeling mo kasal na or what so ever, eh debut pa lang naman 'to. Hahaha!
After ng ilang minuto, tumahimik na naman sa hall. They're still waiting for my answer. Dahan-dahan ko rin namang kinuha ang microphone kay Shaun at bumuntong hininga bago ito sagutin.
"Shaun, I can say that my answer is..." Kinakabahan ako! Ay, kaloka! "...YES!"
"Yes? Really?" Tuwang-tuwa na sabi ni Shaun.
"Ayaw mo? Bawiin ko na ba?" Natatawa kong sabi sa kanya.
"No! No! No! Lord, thank you very much! Thank you po talaga!" Tuwang-tuwa niyang sabi habang tumatalon pa. Ako.naman, natutuwa na lang din sa mga nangyayari. So I guess, this is an another book for our love story. Hahaha!
"Uhm, ehem. Shaun..." Kinalabit ko sya at lumingon naman sya agad.
"Yes?"
"Eh, di mo pa ko nasasayaw."
"Oh well, no problem." Sinenyasan nya yung nag-ooperate ng music at ipinatugtog ang isang pamilyar na kanta.

Naluluha ako pero alam kong masaya ang luha na yun.
"Cassy, do you remember anything?"
"W-what?"
"The time we danced for the first time."

"Oh my gosh. JS Prom?"
"Yeah. The day you left me."
"Oh, akala ko ba forget na?"
"Hala, oo nga no. Sige, sige."
Tapos linapit nya pa yung katawan nya sa kin for a more romantic dance. I can feel his breath until he said, "I love you, Cassy." With that, I just smiled and embraced the moment that we were dancing.
