Arc 1: Reincarnated Noob

Chapter 24: Acquaintances

       After asking Moon Ziqin's opinion of joining the Conquering Clouds Guild or not, he told me the various benefits of joining guilds. He also make me think of my decision on Joining on a newly established and unknown guild like Conquering Clouds.

In the 8th server of Glory, I have heard of various guild recruiting members to their guild. Those guilds are famous and under those club who was in the professional alliance.

Blossom Valley, Samsara, Void Walk and Misty Castle, those are the guilds who was within the top rankings on this 8th Server of the Glory.

They are famous and have the backings of the guild. But I have no plan on joining on those guilds. I think that they are too competitive for my taste. Big shots guild like those required too much time.

So, i think that it was better for me to join a small time guild. They wouldn't be demanding compared to those guilds and I would also receive some benefits from the guild as Moon Ziqin have told me.

Yet, it was unexpected that after I have manage to join the guild, Moon Ziqin asked me to chat the guild leader to have Moon Ziqin and the others join the guild.

Thankfully, Vanquishing Tempest has accepted my request to him. Moon Ziqin and the others are now part of the Conquering Clouds Guild.

After that, I log out of the game since my father told me that it was time for me to eat. Brother and Sister also arrive home early and Father told me that they have a surprise for me.

During dinner, Sister and Brother were smiling at me. I was curious why they are smiling but I refrain on asking since I still need to eat.

While eating, I remembered about my story. Could it be about it?

But it seems that I was wrong when I learned their surprise for me.

" Tada! Do you like it? "

Sister Chao-Xing asked me with a smile on her face.

They give me a strange black box device that has so many strange and complicated buttons. I can't understand what is this strange technology.

Probably seeing the expression of confusion on my face, Brother Hao Lan decided to explain to me what is this device.

" Jun Feng, It is a voice changer. Chao-Xing have told me the other day how you are wary of speaking to other players with your real voice. With that device, you can modify your voice. "

Brother Hao Lan smiled and patted my head.

" Don't worry, I would teach you how to use them. "

" Thanks Brother! "

Finally... I was thankful for the gift. It would be very useful and I wouldn't need to keep typing on the keyboard so that I can just communicate with the others. I was really concerned that the other players would look down on and don't take me seriously because I am a kid. Or in the worse case scenario, they would discriminate and wouldn't let me join the dungeons.

It seems that my reasons may look like shallow, but I have experiences in various rpg games in my past life. The amount of toxic and petty players on those games are abundant.

After giving the voice changer device to me, Brother Hao Lan and Sister Chao-Xing informed me that I don't need to worry about my story. They would take care of it tommorow. I just need to give them the remaining manuscripts, the softcopies of the rest of the chapters of my story so that Brother and Sister would be able to discuss the contract for the story.

I can't wait for tommorow to arrive.

   Zhang Yuan could only sigh in relief as Conquering Clouds become an official guild with 50 members. For a level 1 guild, the guild has supposed to have the maximum amount of 100 members. It was neither a bad or very good amount of guild members. 50 is considered an average. Nonetheless, Zhang Yuan could relax that he have manage to create a guild and it even exceeded the least required numbers.

Another good result was that Grand Caster whom he have seen a potential have joined their guild. He even brought his acquaintances with him to fill the numbers on their guild which was another good thing on his opinion. And he also didn't expect that one of those fellow acquaintances of Grand Caster was someone whom he and Wen Qianmei knows.

Zhang Yuan instantly recognized the voice that spoken to him.

{ Is that you, Yue Ziqin? }
