Chapter 120: Playoffs (Part 7)
“Know your allies, Know thy enemy. ”If Zhang Yuan wanted to become an efficient captain, he must always keep those words in his mind.
If it was possible, he would always try to keep ahold of any information that he can gain regarding his enemies and allies.
Never does he want to be played for a fool again. The thing that happened during the Christmas event– leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. They couldn't even do anything against the powerful guilds and he have never known that there was a traitor in their midst.
Since then, Zhang Yuan always tried to keep ahold of any information that he can gain against the other guilds and their enemies. It was the same for the Challenger's League.
Team Radiance who was one of the relegated teams was a top priority of Zhang Yuan in getting information. He watched their matches and studied all of them religiously.
Team Radiance– Zhang Yuan observed that they were a little better than some of the low-tier pro teams. If it was skilled they should be ranked in 16th or 17th place.
The reason why they are 20th in this season and the cause of team Radiance's relegation was their insistence on their 'Theme'.
Team Radiance is composed of Priest-type pro players. Clerics, Knights, Exorcists, and Paladins.
Stubborn to their decision and refuse to change. So the other pro players have taken of their weakness and in the end, it resulted in them being ranked 20th and being relegated to the challenger's league.
Before the Challenger's League started, Zhang Yuan have already discussed with his team who would be the people on the Team Challenge portion. As usual, Jun Feng was the sixth player. He would only deploy if one of them ended up dead in the team challenge. And usually, it was Zhang Yuan (Storm Conquest) that ended up being the first to die in every Team Challenge.
God, is this his punishment for using Jung Feng's luck to their advantage since he discovers the strange quirk of Jun Feng? Or is it because he insisted on buying a haunted house and turning it into their Headquarters? Did the possible Ghosts live there and cursed his existence?

The reason for that order was that since healers/clerics are the ones who are responsible for healing are just healers and not attackers. Healers are vital to the team Radiance so they must be protected by the Knights, Paladins, and exorcists.
Basic PVP team challenge 101 is that you always go and kill the most vital team member of the team. Usually, it is the support members like healers and strategists or the players could go the other way and kill the team's aces.
Since the healers are probably planked and being protected by the tanks of the team Radiance, Zhang Yuan and his team would go on the other route that the team Radiance wasn't expecting. They would kill first the heavy hitters of their team. The exorcists of team Radiance.
When the team challenge started, the team conquering clouds immediately left their spawn point and headed toward the middle of the map. There wasn't much that they could plan on this kind of map and put the map to their advantage.
When it comes to maps, the more complicated and wide the map is, the more that it was in favor of the team conquering clouds. The more simple and small it is, there wasn't much that they could do or Jun Feng could do an outrageous idea for the map.
It was their obvious weakness when it comes to their reliance on the mapping strategy. But in this Challenger's League, the team conquering clouds hasn't been given much of an opportunity to show their map strategy considering many of their opponents decided to call it quits.
Here in the playoffs portion of the Challenger's League, the Alliance is the one who chooses the maps. Even though it was chosen by the Alliance, they have managed to show a little glimpse of their map strategy. Zhang Yuan was surprised by the result of the first 2 rounds of the group challenge.
He finally learned why Jung Feng was insisting for Hao Junya become a farmer and those are the result of Jun Feng's ideas.
Hao Junya's battle style, other than Sun Xiang, there was someone they could rely on the individual and group challenges.
Thank the heavens that the rules of the Glory Pro Alliance only required the maps to change for every type of challenge but not for each round of battles.
Eventually, the team conquering clouds arrive in the middle of the rocky plains first. They rushed immediately as possible to the middle of the map.
When they finally could see the silhouette of the other team, Zhang Yuan then typed in the game chat.
[ Storm Conquest: Get ready ]
The other members of the team conquering Clouds immediately took their battle stances, their fingers near to clicking any skill to start attacking their enemies.
[ Storm Conquest: Operation destroy healers ]
Of course, what Zhang Yuan recently typed in the public game chat wasn't what he had originally planned. It was a lie. Zhang Yuan and his team's priority are the exorcists.
But immediately, he could see the results of his lie. Zhang Yuan could feel a huge and cruel smile forming on his face as he saw the two knights and one paladin protecting and planking toward their only healer. And the two exorcists step forward and prepare to attack one of them in conquering clouds.
' Got you. '
They have fallen to his lies.
The two exorcists then attacked Zhang Yuan much to his annoyance. But Moon Ziqin, Cross Knife, and Watchful Hound immediately took that as a cue to bombard one of the exorcists with their skills while Twilight Rose was healing and saving him from the call of death.
[ Twinkling Radiance of Team Radiance is eliminated ]
After the first exorcist, it was the second exorcist's turn.
[ Brilliant Vanquisher of Team Radiance is eliminated ]
[ Storm Conquest: Operation kill the paladin next ]
Having fallen to his lie, he could see team Radiance still adamant about protecting their cleric. It's a pity that it wasn't a lie this time.
Followed after the death of the Paladin, Zhang Yuan keep giving order after order. Team Radiance had a hard time deciphering which is truth and which is lies.
When there is only the Cleric and the Sixth player remaining on the team Radiance– it was too late when they realize that they shouldn't have minded the eye-catching chats from Zhang Yuan on the public chat.
