I arrived at the spot everyday, excited for his lookEven if I never spoke to him, my heart would flare when he looked up at me from his book.
His eyes were soft like velvet, but his voice was coarse like grain
His words were sweet like honey, and his presence was like the rain
I let myself get too familiar, too acquainted with the feeling
And I try my hardest to not let it show, to do my best at concealing
But I can't keep my eyes away from him, I can't stop waiting for the glance
And I can't talk to him even if I wanted to, I'll never get a chance.
All this time I've been watching him, watching his stare.
But it turns out he stares at everyone,
so eyes please beware.
