The sloshing of the water is peaceful as can be.
The water being a dark blue, my eyes burning from the salt and unable to see.
I float through the blackness and drift through the waves,
And as I swallow water I wonder what words will soon be written on my grave.
It's actually pretty calming, being alone in my thoughts as I float down,
But it's also haunting as I let my body go limp and silently drown.
Letting all of my worries and regrets run through my head, going south,
I choke on the water and the words that are coming out of my mouth.
Then as everything goes black, I rekindle memories of my past life.
Then death creeps upon me and stabs through me like a knife.
