After a fun night, we all hurried home after realizing we broke curfew, the siblings, Leo and I walk up to the front door of the house when Chase turned to all of us "We are gonna be in so much trouble with Mr. Davenport. We're two hours past curfew, and lights are already off."
Bree smiles and walks over to Chase "We are bionic and inhuman teenagers who go on top-secret missions, okay? I'm pretty sure we can sneak past an out-of-shape, middle-aged man."
I nod my head and turn to Chase "She's got a point there"
Chase shakes his head "Alright, well, just to be safe, I'll use my bionic vision to scan inside." he steps infront of us and scans inside the house, after a few seconds he turns back over to us "All clear. They must be asleep."
"Good, but we've gotta be super quiet," Leo tells us
Chase nods his head proud of himself "Sneakin' in after curfew. This'll totally boost my bad boy cred." we all just look at him then turn to walk in back Chase starts to speak "Tippy toes, people. Tippy toes."
Sarcastically I pat him on the shoulder with a smile "Spoken like a true bad boy"
We sneak in quietly and start to cross the dark living room until the lights flick on "Busted!" the five of us turn around with a scream. We look around and back at the red chair in the living room that Davenport is sitting in. Once again we scream as Davenport stands up with a smile "Ha!"
Chase throws his hands in the air "I don't get it! I scanned the room!"
Davenport walks over to us holding up a silver blanket "Mm-hmm, and I foiled you with my invisibility cloak!" He drops it on the couch and looks back at us "Again, I say Ha!"
Leo sighs "Well, you got us. Good night."
We all turn to run out of the room but Davenport shouts "Freeze!" we sigh and turn back towards him "You are all grounded. Three weeks."
"What?!" Leo says
I groan "Really?!"
"That's not fair!" Chase shouts
Bree sighs and slumps her shoulders "Come on!"
Adam throws his hands in the air "Is that all you got?"
We all turn to Adam and shake our heads then Davenport looks back at the rest of us "Look, you guys have no idea what it's like raising teenagers."
Adam looks back at Chase and I "He can't ground me if he can't see me."Adam starts running, grabs a blanket from the couch, and smashes into the front door "Ahh! I didn't grab the invisibility cloak, did I?" we all just cross our arms and shake our heads no.
