Chapter Two

Previously on "Falling for the Football Star": "Cheers to a new school year," they said in unison as the jokingly clanked their pizzas together as a toast.

The first week of school flew by in no time. Skyla, Lily, Isaac, and Chris spent it together practically between classes, with many laughs among the four of them. Lily popped up in front of Skyla as they were leaving class.

"Skyla!" She squealed excitedly while jumping like a child.

"Ah- Yes?" she inquired, giggling while watching her best friend.

"Did you hear? Emily and Britney got suspended!" Lily cheered.

"Wait- what!" Skyla said as she walked up to her.

"Yeah, they heard everything that happened because the audio was recorded so they had evidence against them two for bullying." Lily chimed, nodding her head in excitement.

"Oh no... Does Isaac know?" Skyla questioned worriedly, fidgeting with the strap of her backpack.

Lily shrugged her shoulders. "Perhaps, she probably went to him whining, knowing her."

Skyla started to shake nervously. "Will he end up hating me?" she mumbled to herself as they walked up to the front of the school.

As the two girls were walking, they suddenly heard Chris' voice coming through the speaker. "Hello? 1-2-3? Is this thing on? Oh- Hello everyone! It's everyone's favorite football star, Christ Ball! Wooh! Anyways, to celebrate the new school year and the upcoming football season, I'm throwing a party! Everyone's invited!"

"O-M-G- He did it!" Lily laughed, clenching her stomach.

"Idiot..." Skyla mumbled while giggling to herself.

Suddenly they hear loud footsteps coming up behind them while calling out for them. "Hey, guys!" They turned their heads to see Chris, waving his arms like crazy at the two of them while smiling a wide goofy smile.

He wraps his arms around Skyla's waist and peeks over her shoulder at her as she looks at him, blushing brightly as a small giggle escapes her lips. "Hi, Chris!"

"Are you still coming to the party tonight?" he inquired, grinning at her shyness.

Skyla nodded quickly. "Yeah, I'm excited and nervous at the same time."

"Aw don't be! I'll be there to get you through it. Plus, it'll be a good chance for you to make some friends!" Chris smiled at her before looking over at Lily who was watching them with a smirk.

Lily saw Isaac coming from the corner and decided to speak out loudly. "You two should have just date already! You act like a couple!" she giggled.

Skyla's face turned tomato red at how loud Lily was being. Chris smirked at the comment and nodded in agreement. "I agree, wouldn't we be a power couple Lily?"

Lily giggled at how embarrassed Skyla was. "Yes, you would be."

Isaac walked over to them to see what the commotion was about. "Hey" he spoke out, standing next to Lily while looking at Chris and Skyla.

Skyla noticed him and squealed out as Chris let go of the hug, glaring at Isaac. She hid her face in embarrassment, clearing her throat to try and calm the tension in the air.
