Falling for the Football Star

Chapter 1

Today marks day one of Skyla's life changing forever. Her dream of attending her best friend's high school was realized thanks to a scholarship. She moved into Lily's apartment after getting her things moved in. To celebrate Skyla's first day of school, two of them went to bed with plans to go shopping.

The following morning, the sound of the alarm buzzing and beeping caused the teen to flutter her eyes open. Shifting around in bed, she rolls almost to the edge of the bed, before staring at the alarm clock with a look of hatred in her eyes. She raised her hand up and with a quick whack, caused the buzzing sound of her alarm to stop. The young girl groaned and stretched her arm slightly. "Oh, shut up," she muttered as she rolled back over, putting her face on the pillow. "Just five more minutes..." Skyla managed with a groan.

Suddenly, another voice yells "Skyla!" as she enters her bedroom. She slowly turns her head looking at her lifelong friend and now roommate, only for her to roll her eyes before putting her head back on the pillow. "Hey! Don't roll your eyes at me, Missy!" Her roommate scolds her and puts her hands on her hips.

Skyla sits up in her bed, her hair tangled up and drooling at the corner of her mouth. She glanced at her. "Ugh Lily-" Just as Skyla was about to complain, Lily suddenly shoved a chicken biscuit into her mouth.

"Shush child, just eat." She patted her head with an evil smirk forming on her lips, as Skyla stared at her like she was insane. "We have a busy day today." Lily evilly chuckles as she makes her way out of Skyla's room.

After finishing her biscuit, Skyla finally stands up from her bed and makes her way to her closet, before pulling it open. She grabs a pair of jeans and a light purple top with a pair of gray toms to complete the look.

After changing into the outfit, she chose for herself; she walked over to their conjoined bathroom and brushes through her hair before throwing it up into a messy bun. Skyla stood in front of the mirror and stared at herself for a long time before making her way down the hallway to the living room, where she sees Lily standing there wearing a pair of ripped jeans and a loose striped t-shirt with black boots to finish her outfit.

"Girl, we look fabulous." Lily says, snapping her fingers in a 'Z' shape, which makes Skyla giggle while nodding in agreement. "All right!" Lily claps her hands. "Let's get this shopping day started!" With this, she grabs Skyla's arm and drags her out of the house.

Several hours later. Finally, the girls finished shopping. "Lily!" she wailed out. "Why did you get so many things!" Skyla cried out tiredly.

"Sorry! Not sorry! I found a bunch of cute outfits." She grinned happily with her hands on her hips.

Skyla pouts as she trudges behind her friend, her arms weighed down with shopping bags. "Ah- you... Why are you making me carry all your bags?"

"Oh... I may have forgotten I gave them to you." A giggle escapes Lily's lips as she grabs some bags off her arms before continuing her walk through the mall.

Skyla lets out a groggy sigh. "Can we please just go home?"

Lily pouts her bottom lip as she turns her head slightly over her shoulder to look at her best friend. "But Skyla!! I want to shop more!" She complained while swinging her arms around like a little kid throwing a tantrum.

She shook her head while giving Lily a stern look, "No. You already bought enough, come on." She admonished.

"Ugh fine! I guess it is getting pretty late."
