Chapter 26

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I'm shocked to see the sight in front of me.

"You not expecting me?" Gerard spat breathing heavily

"What? Of course not" I said walking out of the apartment and closing the door behind me.

"You think I'm the cheater?!?! While you go out with guys when I'm gone!" Gerard shouted

"What? What you on about?!" I said in a loud whisper

"Don't act stupid, I saw everything!" Gerard flung his hand towards outside

"Gerard, that's Malcolm!" I screamed back getting more upset by the second.

"Oh really!?!? The one you said that was a "douche bag" and how you "hated" him so much" He said sarcastically

"I do. He is a douche bag!" 

"I could really see the hatred when you were hugging him!" Gerard eyes began to tear up

"Gerard, he was cheering me up because I was upset for the past couple months!" I explained

He walked away rushing down the stairs and out the door. I ran after him wanting answers.

"I thought you weren't suppose to be home for the next week" I jogged trying to keep up with him

"I came home early because I wanted to talk to you and sort some things out but I'm guessing you already made the decision for our relationship" Gerard stopped aburtly on the path

"I made the decision?" I said in shock to why I was getting the blame. "I'm not the one getting so close to my old friend that she has to go everywhere with me and has her arm hooked through mine?! I'm not the one ignoring your calls and then ringing back suspiciously.

"Nothing was happening between me and Lindsay" Gerard licked his lips and looked down

"Oh really? Bullshit!" I felt all the feelings come up from months and months building

"Look Lisa, nothing happened" 

"Why did you ignore me suddenly when Lindsay came on the scene? I was totally forgotten" I felt tears running down my face but I couldn't feel the pain as I was gone so used to it.

"She was helping me when you were gone. To stay on my feet but s-she got the wrong message and ..."

I walked away, I couldn't handle the truth. 

"Nothing happened! I promise" Gerard grabbed my hands and looked at me

"Then what" I said sternly slipping my hands out of his.

"She came on to me. But I blew her off" Gerard scratched the back of his head. 

"How did she come on to you?" I asked my voice shaking

"It doesn't matter, she's gone now okay? She went back home 2 weeks ago"

"How did she come on to you Gerard!?" I screamed out 

"I was in bed one night and she got drunk, she wanted to sleep in the bed with me because she was scared ...S-so I let her but throughout the night she tried to... Kiss me and pushed her off and slept on the couch" Gerard looked down guilty wrote all over his face.

I couldn't say anything. I was so confused and upset. I was happy for him that he didn't cheat on me but then I was angry at the bitch. I wanted this to be all over. 

"Ok" I said quietly, I started walking back to the apartment slowly

"Lisa, I would never cheat on you, you know that, right?" Gerard grabbed my arms making me look into his eyes
