That's not weird at all.
Sorry for taking so long! School is cruel for me this year.

The area was beautiful.

And so was he.

Luca didn't understand where the thought came from. But the way the high sun followed them and created a halo around his hair, it was almost mesmerizing.

Okay. Slow down Luca.

He just asked you a question.

Yet that very question made his insides churn.

You're with Giulia, aren't you?

"No!" He blurted out, covering his mouth at the outburst. He looked away and tried again, "No. we aren't. We did at one point but-"

"At one point?" Alberto raised an eyebrow.

Luca nodded. "We were sixteen."

"You were sixteen." He nodded, repeating him. Alberto felt that same feeling, the one that always tugged at his heart and made his stomach drop, again. He finally knew what it was.

He was jealous.

He wasn't sure why though. Luca was his friend, his first friend, one he always felt he needed to protect. And Guilia was, well, Giulia.

"Are you going to keep repeating me?" Luca looked at him.

Alberto shook his head, "So let me get this straight. After going to school, you decided to date Giulia"

Luca nodded.

"And you two are still...?"

"We aren't. She likes girls."

Alberto nodded now, looking at the waves. Luca grew nervous.

"And you? What do you like?"

"I-I'm not sure. Girls are pretty, yeah. But" he sighed, "It's complicated."

Alberto nodded. If he didn't look mad, good. Because his blood was boiling. Giulia was his first kiss, first date, probably even more...

Luca probably didn't even like men.

Probably didn't like him, Like how he liked Luca.

He was getting ahead of himself. Way ahead of himself.

"What about you?"

Alberto didn't expect that from Luca, tensing and swallowing hard. He played with the sand, mumbling, "I'm not sure either" he lied. "I don't like anyone."

Luca nodded and looked away, "Ah" is all he said.

Silence again. They were both left with his thoughts, but the more thoughts he had, the angrier Alberto got. Giulia touched Luca. His Luca. He went to stand, catching Luca by surprise, who looked at him curiously. The expression melted however when he noticed Alberto's expression. "Alberto."

"You dated Giulia" he hissed to the ocean, not moving when Luca grabbed onto his pant leg.

"I did," Luca breathed, "But it didn't work. Touching her felt..wrong."

Alberto looked at him, "What?"

Luca lifted and lowered a shoulder, "It felt weird to both of us. Like it wasn't supposed to happen." He looked to the waves, then noticed something off the corner of his eye.

Laughing together, Giulia and Clementine came into view, keeping him from saying anything further about it.

Alberto noticed too, because his expression darkened, but it went away just as quickly.
