Natasha's POV:

The compound was a cacophony of noise, people milled about the living room chatting to each other in small clusters. Most guests were some of Tony's other rich slightly arrogant friends so I made a note to avoid them. Scanning the crowd below I noticed Wanda stationed by the piano, wearing a very elegant red dress it looked very much like the one she wore when we first...

I let out a sigh as I continued my assessment of the gathering. I saw Steve drinking alone at the bar so I instantly made a beeline for him. He grinned mischievously as I walked over to him. "You're looking very elegant Romanoff". Of course, my outfit was quite the opposite. I'd opted for simple clothing this evening, to ensure most of my injuries were not visible to the other guests. I couldn't have people thinking I was an easy target.
"Very funny Steve, you don't look too bad yourself". Steve let out a laugh before handing me a drink.

"So Romanoff, got your eye on anyone tonight? Isn't it time you got back in the field?"
I glared at him "Obviously not Steve, not with Wanda watching". Briefly glancing at her in that dress.

He suddenly became serious his voice turning to a slight whisper. "What actually happened between you two, can't you be happy for each other and move on?"
I sighed "You know what happened Steve, she cheated on me with that talking tin can."
He raised his eyebrows "Yes and then you let him get blown up on a mission, so I'd call that even". The day of the mission came back to me, Tony yelling at me and Wanda's scream.
I shook my head "I just don't know if I can put myself out there yet."

"Are you sure about that?" Steve raised his eyes to the balcony above us. Agent Hill was standing where I was a few minutes ago, surveying the crowd. She was absolutely stunning. She wore a loose black shirt and had left most of the top buttons left undone, revealing much of her tanned athletic figure. Her dark hair was unusually let down, cascading just past her shoulders. I wondered how it would feel to run my hands through it, to trace my fingertips down her well-built body. My pulse quickened as I focused on her elegant hands currently placed on the railing, wondering what skills she possessed.

"Earth to Romanoff..."
"Nat?" I turned back to Steve a slight crimson shade covering my face. "What?" my tone was slightly more defensive than it should have been.
He only smirked "Nothing Nat just seemed like your attention was elsewhere".

My face reddened again so I decided to find other guests that weren't so interested in my love life "I don't know what you mean", I retorted while sauntering off.
He held his hands up in defeat. "Whatever you say, Romanoff".

A few hours later

Most of the guests had left by now or were too drunk and had to be ushered out by Tony. A few members of the team were left sitting around a coffee table. Tony, Steve, Wanda, Sam, Clint, Hill and Bruce. I glanced at Hill lounging on a sofa, having to tear my eyes away from her exposed collarbone. I couldn't tell what it was but this look tonight was killing me.

I was grateful for the interruption from Tony. "Alright listen up people, we're gonna play a game and spice things up a little". Everyone fell silent. "The game is simple, truth or drink. One of the team will ask another member a truth and you can either answer or take a shot of Thor's Asgardian alcohol he left behind, be warned it is very strong I speak from experience". Everyone laughed remembering what happened to Tony after he tried to outdrink Thor.

Tony spoke up again. "Alright let's start with Steve", taking a dramatic pause, "Are you a 90-year-old virgin?" The question gaining a roar of laughter from the others.
Rogers only chuckled and took a swig from Thor's flask. The team began clamouring for answers along the lines of, "What do you mean, you can't leave us hanging!"
He sat back smiling. "If you don't mind I believe it's my turn" Everyone settled down again in anticipation for who would receive the question.

"Agent Hill.."
As he paused I felt my stomach drop "Мудак" I muttered under my breath.
"Who do you find most attractive in this room". He knocked back the rest of his drink hiding his smug smile. All eyes were on Maria as she shifted in her seat. And it may have been the drink but I could have sworn she momentarily turned her electric eyes towards me before saying, "I think I'll leave that one to the imagination". She got up while doing a shot from the flask and finally taking a mocking bow, gaining another guffaw from the others. "It's late and I have a meeting with Fury in the morning so I will take my leave." And without a shadow of a doubt, Hill glanced at me before stalking off to her room.
