"Oh man!" Kalamba exclaimed.
They were passing through the thick grass of the savannah. There were , well it looked like it, million of wildebeest! "Let's not hunt now. It will be a waist since none of us are not hungry." Arty said. Zimbwea agreed and started to lead the group around the heard. "Plus we are not too far from HealingPride. We can save them for the pride. Hopefully they come this way."

They walked far beyond HealingPride, they had finally reached the edge of the borders.
"Here we are. Here we exit." Zimbwea said sighing.
Kalamba jumped over the border as if there were thorns separating the territories. Arty breathed in and let her eyes wonder through the empty savannah.

"We should reach the canyons by sundown" she said.
"We should hunt Im becoming skinnier than the eldest lions!" Kalamba whined.
Zimbwea cuffed his ears and Arty chuckled. Zimbwea prowled forward looking past a large rock. She spotted a small prairie dog nibbling on small specks of grass. Kalamba was moving forward already, slowly gliding across the ground hiding in the tall grass. He swiftly jumped into the air and landed on the prairie dog- well, so he thought. He looked down to see a hole under him. " Come back you excuse of a rat!" He growled down the hole. He spotted the prairie dog peering out another hole and ran after it pouncing on the hole. Kalamba repeatedly jumped from hole to hole. Arty and Zimbwea collapsed laughing so hard they couldn't breathe.

"Hey don't laugh!" Kalamba growled still leaping around. A screech rang from Kalamba's direction. He turned around carrying the small prairie dog with pride. His small mane was covered in dust and dirt.
"Great you have something to eat, but what are we going to eat." Arty said.
"Yea we have gotten a lot bigger since we could eat a field mouse and fill up" Zimbwea agreed.

"Ok hold this. I will catch the food for my ladies" Kalamba said with a handsome tone.

Arty rolled her eyes and Zimbwea put a paw on her face. She raced up to Kalamba putting her paw I front of him blocking him. "I will take this one" She said tauntingly. Arty padded up to her passing the dead prey to Kalmba. "Look there is a warthog and meerkat near the oasis" Arty whispered.
Zimbwea nodded "I'll get the meerkat. The warthog will stuff us all so block it so it can't get away".
Arty nodded back and slowly sneaked up behind the warthog.

Zimbwea slowly neared the small meerkat gathering all her hunting training into her mind.
Slow. Steady. Steady....
Zimbwea pounced into the mid air. The meerkat screamed and ran towards the warthog. It leaped onto the warthog and grabbed the warthog's tail. "Back up! This thing is loaded!" The meerkat screamed. "Ya right!" Arty snapped. The wart hog snorted "Uhhh... Timon I don't this this is a good ideaaaa....". "Timon.. where did I hear that before" Zimbwea said quietly. Kalamba ran out roaring at the two rebels. Timon and the warthog ran away screaming.
"Prairie dog doesn't look so bad now does it?" Kalamba taunted.

Later that day they finally all ate something. The sun was finally setting low and the sky was turning red as Kalamba's fur. "The sky looks like me!" Kalamba said softly. They all found a comfortable spot near the canyon. Bellies facing the sky and laying in a circle they stared up at the star lit sky. "Have you ever heard of the starry kings?" Zimbwea said quietly. Arty nodded.

"Every night i would look at the stars and actually think about the kings. If you think about it, they are almost like guardians that look down on us. They watch to help." Kalamba said.
"I always thought that stars were just the eyes of the kings. But there are also many other lion ancestors looking down too." Zimbwea yawned.

"These stars definitely are our ancestors, because they are bright and beautiful, just like us." Arty smiled. "Hey what if there are cheetahs!" Kalamba chirped.
"There are" Zimbwea said.

"How do you know?"

"Trust me I just....know"
Zimbwea slowly closed her eyes letting darkness take over.

The next morning birds flew over head screeching.
"Wake up you gecko!" Kalamba was above Zimbwea. She looked over to see Arty stretching and yawning. Zimbwea rolled over covering her eyes "ugh do I have to?" She moaned.

Zimbwea pushed herself up and shook her fur. The group traveled past the canyon looking for Kopa the lost prince."He isn't here. He must be farther into the jungle." Arty guessed.
They all padded deep into a thick jungle. Music was pounding in a direction. Zimbwea lead the group farther to the sound. It got louder and louder until it was full blast. It sounded like Mardi Gras music. Kalamba brushed through the leaves getting pulled in.
"Kalamba!" Arty jumped. Zimbwea jumped forward into the bushes and saw Kalamba dancing with a monkey.
"Huh- guys! Little help" He pulled away and ran towards them. "What was that?!" Zimbwea laughed. Kalamba scratched his head and looked nervous. Arty got pulled in by a black lion, she was laughing and following along with the moves. Kalamba pulled Zimbwea into the crowd. She didn't move at first but after a while she started to bounce to the beat and walk in circles. The beat took control. Kalamba and Zimbwea bumped heads. She scratched her head. Zimbwea's cheeks were turning pink! Kalamba picked her back up and spun her around bobbing his head to the groove. Arty spun past them laughing. A jaguar was chasing her.
"You two got some groovy moves!" Zimbwea turned around to see a brown maned lion. Her eyes flashed.
Kopa.
