Zimbwea scrambled to her feet and bowed "Simba! we didn't realize we were supposed to be here" she said in confusion.
"Zimbwea! You have grown so fast!" Simba hugged her. "And who are your friends?"
"I'm Arty!"
"I'm Kalamba!"
Simba nodded and looked at them all. Kovu and Kiara walked into the cave. Zimbwea remembered what Kopa had said. She could tell her friends did too.
"You guys may make yourselves comfortable. But may I speak with you guys tomorrow?" Arty nodded and they all bowed as Simba exited.
Kovu was leaving too. "Kovu!" Zimbwea ran after him. "Can we speak to you?".
"Um." He looked at Kiara and she shrugged "Sure".
They all padded into the back of the cave. Zimbwea sighed "Do you know where you were adopted from?"
"Wow." Kovu said looking confused.
"Um.. No." He said looking surprised.
"I really don't want to talk about this okay? I have a kingdom to look over or something"
"Kovu don't be so rude like that." Kiara smacked him upside his head. An "ow" came from outside the cave when they exited.

"Boys am I right or am I right?" Zimbwea said.
"The other right" Kalamba said.
"It was a rhetorical question dumbo!" Arty laughed.
The group exited the cave and walked down below Pride Rock.

The sun slowly sank letting the savannah turn into flame like landscape. All the sudden hyenas had charged into the Pridelands, snarling ferociously. There were only two but it scared half of the pride. "What're you doing on the pride lands?" Simba snapped ferociously at the trespassers.
The hyenas just laughed and looked around surveying the pride. Simba stepped forward but the hyenas ran letting out there piercing shrieks. He looked back at Kovu and than Nala. "Nala gather patrols and scout the area. I want nothing to do with these foolish beasts!" He growled. "And there won't be Simba" Nala was trying to soothe Simba. She nuzzled under him and than called the lionesses to her. Simba stared at Arty, than Zimbwea and Kalamba. "I'm sorry we will have to speak in a couple days or so this is going to take up most of my time. I'm really sorry." Simba raced off leaving it at that.

Arty looked worried than relieved that Simba had left. "I thought he was going to bite our heads off!" She whispered sharply.

The next day it had rained and stormed. Lightning was the only thing keeping the pride from going on patrols. "Agh! Blast this storm! The savannah is going to be the next Niger River if it rains any longer!" Kalamba whined. Kalamba liked open spaces way better than caves.... obviously.
"Oh stop whining ha baby" Zimbwea nudged him and Kalamba fell over. He snorted and shook his growing mane. "Don't worry he is just mad because he is going through his boy puberty" Arty laughed. Zimbwea joined in laughing so hard she snorted.
Zimbwea was later called out for patrol near the jungle side. Of course Mufasa put me in this place Zimbwea thought. She knew he had made Nala pick her for that specific patrol. She rolled her eyes and cracked a smile as she ran towards the jungle border. Zimbwea swore she could see Kopa staring at her with his green eyes. He is watching us. Zimbwea sighed and finished the patrol, returning to pride rock. She grabbed a small hare and padded near an oasis. Arty ran up to her. Flash! Zimbwea was in the middle of the battle, yet she wasn't sure of whom the battle was with. Destinies will be fulfilled. Something whispered in her ear. A fast moving cat moved across her before the vision vanished.
"Hey Zimbwea you seem startled..." Arty snapped Zimbwea back to reality. "w-what.. oh." Zimbwea started "I knew Kopa was watching me on patrol today I could feel his glare burning into my pelt" she sighed. Arty sighed "Do t worry Zimbwea all will work out perfectly.. I don't know how..b-but it will". She always had the courage that no one had seen before.
They groomed each other until sunset and they had fallen asleep later on.
Destinies fulfilled
