Boom!
The sound of thunder awoke Zimbwea. She scrambled to her mothers arms trying to curl up in the gap between them. She finally squeezed her self in, yet she wasn't able to sleep. The shaking of her body kept her from realizing that her wounds were healing. She squeezed her eyes shut trying to fall asleep, hoping it would block out the noise too.

Zimbwea woke up to a soft warm feeling on her face. She didn't open her eyes or move because she was afraid if she did the feeling would slide out from under her and no longer would she be in comfort.

Zimbwea opened her eyes to feel the warmth start to move. Teeth lightly chomped on her scruff and she was set on a cold nest of grass. She looked up to see that she had been sleeping on her father and that he was awaken due to a startle. Gahsu rushed out of the cave with no word spoken. He rushed down the un sturdy rocks and dissapeared. Zimbwea stood up weakly and stumbled down the rocks and land with a thump. Her eyes widened when she saw a tree was blocking the nursery.

Zimbwea ran over scratching the log. She could hear the movement of the mothers scrambling to find their way out. From a distance Zimbwea heard a cry. As she moved down the log it got louder. She then saw a cub's paw stuck under the wet trunk. "Claw! Come here a cub is stuck!" Zimbwea called. "Why should I help it." Claw snorted and hopped onto the log. Anger burned like the Lightning had caught fire to the tree. She looked around. "Kalamba where are you?!" She yelped so loud she was sure other prides could hear. Kalamba rushed over pushing up with his head. "Claw get off!" Zimbwea leaped up and knocked him off. She tried to use different things to pick up the log. Nothing. She then screamed and felt every muscle in her body become numb. Her eyes became a crystal blue and her claws came out. She lifted up the log letting tears run down her face from the pain of the strength she was using. She felt the log lighten. She looked over and saw StarPride lifting the log high. Zimbwea dived I pushing the cub out from under the log. Kalamba rushed after her lifting the cub's leg. The log smashed down breaking in half as if StarPride had leaped and landed right in the middle of it.

Zimbwea collapsed her muscles tensed. She looked over realizing the cub was the cheetah. The healing lions were rushing in. Everything became blurry. Then faded. Black.
