The sun rose high and was as red as blood. Time has passed since.. the Kopa vision. It was a year after when Zimbwea received another stirring.

He is near. The blood still runs in the savanna.
Zimbwea heard whispering in her head. She could feel the air sizzle in her ear making her cringe. A picture of a male lion laying under the stars flashed in her mind making her shiver.
Just ignore it. Vitani was right. Kopa had lost to much blood to live. Its probably just one of those dreams that repeat. Zimbwea stood up stretching her large for paws in front of her. Her body looked as if she was froze in a running position. She raced out of her den and went to the entrance of camp. "May I go on hunting patrol." she asked. "Yes. Nara and Yuni will go too." Gahsu said pointing to two lionesses with his tail.

The savanna was warm with smooth wind. Zimbaea sighed and looked at the sky. Why can't it be this pretty every day? " Zimbwea, wildebeest at ten o'clock." Yuni whispered. She looked slightly to the left to see the beast. Nara was already slowly stalking behind it. " You head to the left and I'll stay on the right. We will close it in. Go!" Yuni said.

They all formed a triangle around the wildebeest. Slowly creeping in making the triangle shrink. With a roar of Nara they all pounced giving the wildebeest no options. Zimbwea leaped onto the back of it biting its neck. Yuni grabbed its legs and Nara but its neck finishing the beast off.

Nara pinned the wildebeest and nodded her head signaling Zimbwea and Yuni to help. They all dragged it back to camp. Zimbwea's mouth flooded at the scent of its warm body. "A feast tonight" Zimbwea said with a mouth full of hair. Yuni let go and moved to the other side of the dead flesh and started to pull while Zimbwea and Nara started to push. They pulled the wildebeest into the camp.

"It looks like it was a successful hunt " Akali was walking down Healing Rock. She examined the limp body and said a small prayer to it. Yuni and Nara dipped their heads and so did Zimbwea. "Thank you for giving your life for ours" Nara said quietly.

From across camp a shadow moved in the pile of wood. Claw came out with a piece of prey that looked old. He carried it to the prey pile and walked away with a smile. Now that he was a teen he had a mane growing on him and tufts on his arms. He looked like he never groomed himself. Zimbwea ran to grab the old mouse of the pile, but lions were gathering picking out food already. Gahsu picked up the old mouse. Than he handed it to Jalon. Zimbwea couldn't tell where the mouse had went or Jalon.

After supper Zimbwea saw Claw exiting the camp again. Oh no you don't! Zimbwea thought. She raced through a large bush where Claw had disappeared. She was heading straight for dirt grounds. Zimbwea was confused. Was Claw just having to use the dirt grounds? She couldn't make out what was happening. He possibly can't be- Her thoughts were cut off Claw was gone. She could hear Jalon. Zimbwea padded faster and stopped abruptly. Claw was standing at the top of a cliff. Suddenly a boulder rolled up the hill with him pushing. Jalon was right where the Boulder would hit! Zimbwea ran fast letting her legs hover over ground.

It was too late. The Boulder had hit Jalon. "JALON!" Zimbwea's scream pierced the walls surrounding her. His head only stuck out. She pushed on the Boulder getting the pressure off Jalon.
" Now that your daddy is-" Claw cut off. "Wait that's Jalon!".
"Now that you know what happened you will get in my way of killing your father".
"I killed a spy. So now it's your turn" Claw unsheathed his claws.
