Dress. Flowers. Food. Cake. Music. Guest. Venue. There's just way to much for me to have to think about right now. One thing down. One million to go. Luckily, the dress was easy for me to find. I went ahead and did one that's simple (enough). We're trying to do this quickly, so that means more planning for me, and less free time with everyone else. We're going to do pictures and wedding on the same day just so I don't have to try to muster up energy on two days. I can spend all of my energy one day and then enjoy being married afterwards with hopefully a new pair of lungs not long after the wedding. We settled for a week from tomorrow. It's almost Halloween, and I've always dreamed of having a wedding with the perfect weather. It's supposed to be beautiful so let's hope for the best.
---------------------------------4 Days Later----------------------------------------
Dress. Check. Flowers. Check. Food. Check. Music. Check. Venue. Check. Now all that's left is the guest list. I know there's only four days till the wedding, but you know we're keeping it simple so there won't be many people there. We're sticking with roses, finger foods, spotify playlists, and we're having it on the roof of the hospital (now that we know we can fancy it up). Pictures are going to be perfect. We'll just have to wait 4 more days....just 4 more day.
--------------------------------Wedding Day----------------------------------------
It's finally here! I can't believe it. Today everything changes. Today. Not tomorrow. Today. Today is going to be the best day of my life. I get up, and start getting ready for the pictures. The hospital might not be the most ideal place to get ready for a wedding, but I think I can make do with what I have. We walk down to where pictures are set up. After a few pictures are taken, we head to get ready for the wedding ceremony. Here's a sneak peak at my picture.....
I walk down the aisle. Flowers leading the way next to a red carpet. Chairs set up with ribbons on them on either side of me. My dad linked to my arm. My mom bawling her eyes out. I see Meagan standing 6 feet from where I'm going to be. Then I look at Andrew. The look on his face makes everything else disappear. I get to him, and he leans in and whispers in my ear, "I can't believe you're all mine."
We have the traditional ceremony. Vows, a preacher, everyone clapping. It's perfect. I never knew a roof could look this good. Sadly, there won't be an after party or a honeymoon since we agreed that just a ceremony was best. We get some of Andrew's stuff and move it into my room. He's going to stay a few nights at the hospital until we find an apartment to move into, but some nights he has to go home to get all his stuff for school done. It's better than being separated all the time. The weekends though. It's just me and him. Everything seems right, it is amazing. My best friend by my side, and my other best friend was by my side (well sort of....she was technically 6 feet away). Nothing could make this any better....or so I thought....
