Chapter 1

Maya's POV

"Hey guys!" I said

"Hey Maya!" They said

Riley, Farkle, Lucas, and I are at Starbucks.

"Maya, are u coming to the football game tomorrow?" Lucas asked

"Eh. I don't really want to." I said

"But she is, because I want her to come with me." Riley said

"Cool." Lucas said

"Farkle are you coming?" I asked

"Yea, and I'm bringing a girl." Farkle said

Lucas, Riley, and I looked at each other and started laughing. Farkle's gonna bring a girl? Lol.

"Farkle really?" I asked laughing

"Yea" Farkle said sounding offended

"Sorry buddy, but we just didn't think u were....well..." Lucas was trying to say...

"Telling the truth." I said

"Yea" Riley said laughing

"Well I am, and she's super hot, so...ha!" Farkle said

"Relax there tiger, I can't wait to meet "her"." I said holding back a laugh

"Haha, very mature Maya. I talk to u guys later, I have to go." Farkle said

"Bye!" Lucas and Riley said

"Say hi to your "girlfriend" for me!" I laughed

Riley and Lucas laughed along with me.

"So Maya, did u do ur homework yet?" Riley asked

"Do I ever?" I said

"Nope. Come on, let's go do it." Riley said standing up

"I can help if u guys want." Lucas offered

I looked at Riley. Riley thinks we like each other. And she means like, like like. I honestly don't know about how I feel about Lucas. When I talk to him I get butterflies, but I've convinced myself it's better not to love someone who won't love you back.

"Yes! She would - I mean... we would love the extra help!" Riley said and I rolled my eyes

"Uh ok, great." Lucas said picking up his backpack

"Yay! I get both Riley AND cowboy to do my homework for me!" I cheered

"HELP you with it, not DO it for u." Riley corrected

"I'll do it for her." Lucas said

"Really?!?" I asked excitedly

"Nope!" Lucas laughed

I scoffed as we walked out of Starbucks.

"Do u get it now?" Riley asked

"No! I don't get any of it Riles!" I said confused

"You just add them and move the decimals in to the amount of how many times you moved your decimals." Lucas explained

"No, still don't get it. Riles can we stop now." I whined

"No, Maya, not until you finish your homework." Riley said

"Fine. Give me the book." I said

Lucas and Riley looks at each other then handed me the stuff immediately, like they were shocked I even wanted to do it.

I wrote down a bunch of random answers and slammed the textbook shut.

"Done! Now let's watch some tv." I said grabbing the remote

"Ok I'm done." Riley sighed in defeat

"Does this always happen?" Lucas asked sitting on Riley's couch

"Yes. Every time. I just can't get her to understand it." Riley said

"No, no you cannot." I said putting on pretty little liars

"Oooooh! Yay! I love PLL!" Riley squealed

"Well, I'm leaving, I hate this show." Lucas said laughing

Riley and I laughed with him as we said goodbye and quickly turned back to the tv. After we finished watching, we fell asleep talking about the football game tomorrow.
