Chapter 6

Maya's POV

"Zayn, hey!" I said happily

He came over to me and I gave him a hug. He hugged me back and chuckled. We let go of each other and I heard a scream. Riley.

"What?! This is Zayn?! He's plays for the other team Maya!" Riley shouted upset

"So? He's not a jerk like the rest of his team." I said

Riley sighed and walked up to Zayn. She looked him up and down and he gave her an awkward smile. She took a step back and stood next to me.

"Are you jerk?" She asked

"No." Zayn said

"Are you going to hurt Maya?" She asked

"No way." He said

I blushed.

"Do you have a job?" She asked

"Uh-no?" He said

"Do you plan on asking my best friend, Maya out?" She asked

Zayn blushed and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly before looking back at Riley.

"Uh, yeah, I do want to ask her out." He blushed

I blushed and looked down. Riley started jumping up and down. Farkle, Lucas, and I have her a weird look. She squealed as she pushed me over next to Zayn.

"Well, he passed my test! He's seems nice and he's really cute! I give you my permission to date him!" Riley squealed

I giggled and smiled at Zayn and he smiled back. Lucas cleared his throat and everyone looked at him.

"Uhh, I'm hungry." He said awkwardly

"Ok then, let's go get cowboy some food." I smirked

Lucas playfully rolled his eyes and gave me a big smile. I melted when he smiled at me and smiled back.

"Maya!" Riley said

"What?!" I asked

"You were staring at Lucas." She said smiling

I rolled my eyes at her and turned back to Zayn.

"Wanna come get some food with us?" I asked

"I can't, I have to go with my team." He sighed

"Oh." I said disappointed

"But before I leave I wanted to ask you something." He said

I looked up at him with a big smile.

"Ask her out!" Riley cheered

I giggled and Zayn smiled at me.

"Maya, would you like to go on a date with me?" Zayn asked

Yay! Zayn is so cute and sweet.

"Yes." I said smiling

"Great! I'll pick you up-"

"Zayn! Let's go dude!" Some guy yelled

Zayn rolled his eyes and took my phone. He put his number in and smiled at me.

"I'll call you." He smiled

"Okay." I said smiling

Before he ran off he gave me a kiss on the check and I blushed. He ran off with the guy form his team and I smiled. Riley started squealing.

"Ahhhhhhh!" She screamed

"Omg! Omg! Omg!" I said happily

We started jumping around with each other, squealing, while the boys covered their ears. Riley and I stopped.

"Stop doing that!" Farkle said

Riley and I giggled.

"Sorry, but Maya just got asked out, we had to." Riley said

"Yeah, yeah Maya's has a date. Yay! Can we go eat now?" Lucas said all sarcastic

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I snapped

My friends should be happy for me, Riley and Farkle are.

"Nothing. I'm just hungry." Lucas said

"Yeah, okay." I scoffed

There was an awkward silence.

"Ok, let's go eat!" Farkle suggested

"Yeah! Let's go!" Riley said

They both looked at Lucas and I.

"Yeah." I said

"Okay." Lucas said

Riley and Farkle sighed as we walked in silence.

I took a sip from my drink and laughed at something Farkle just said. Lucas and I haven't really talked. Riley kept trying to get us to talk to each other, but he would just look down.

"Maya has Zayn called you yet?" Riley asked excitedly

Lucas groaned and took a bite of his pizza. Farkle gave him a questioning look before shrugging at Riley and I. I ignored him and faced Riley.

"No, he hasn't." I answered

"That's because he's a shark." Lucas snapped

"What?" I asked

"He's plays for our rival team, the sharks." Lucas said

"Shut up Lucas." I said

They all looked at me. I rolled my eyes and took another sip from my drink.

"Maya, I'm just-"

"Why can't you just be happy for me?!" I said pissed

"Maya-"

"Riles, don't." I snapped

She looked back down at the table and Lucas stood up. Everyone looking at us.

Zayn asked Maya out and she said yes! Riley totally ships LAYA/LUCAYA, but she knows Maya kinda like Zayn right now.
