She Knows

Chapter 7

Maya POV

"Why are you yelling at Riley?" Lucas said

"I'm not, I'm yelling at you!" I said

He rolled his eyes and I stood up. Everyone is watching us.

"Why Maya? Because I'm just telling you that Zayn is a jerk!"

"You don't know him!"

"You just met him Maya!"

"Why can't you just be happy for me?!"

"Because!"

"Because?! What the f*ck do you mean because?!"

"He's a shark, he's bad news!"

"Ugh! Your the fu*king worst! I can't believe you!"

"Me? He hasn't even called you yet! He said he would! He's probably making out with some other girl right now! He's a fu*king player Maya!"

I froze. Really? Why would Zayn like me? I'm broken. I could feel tears in my eyes.

"Maya-"

I grabbed my phone and ran out of there. I could here Lucas calling my name, but I didn't turn around.

I heard a knock on the door and stood up. I opened the door and Riley was standing there. I have her and giant hug and she hugged me back.

"Riles, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." I said

"It's okay." She said softly

She came in and we sat together on my couch watching Netflix.

"Has Zayn called?" Riley asked

He didn't call. Lucas was probably right. I can't believe it. I started to cry.

"No." I said

"Oh, Maya." Riley said before hugging me

I heard my phone ring and Riley looked at me. She picked up my phone and handed it to me. Is it Zayn? I grabbed the phone. Nope, it's Lucas. I sighed and put the phone down. Riley looked at me.

"You know, he was telling Farkle and I how sorry he was." Riley said

I scoffed.

"Yeah, okay." I said

She sighed.

"He was just saying that because he was jealous." she said with a smile

"I though you liked Zayn?" I asked

She shrugged.

"I like Lucaya." She said

I giggled and she did too.

"Well, I guess Zayn's a jerk." I said

"Maybe he's busy." Riley shrugged

"He said he would call me." I sighed

There's was silence.

"You should talk to Lucas." Riley said
