She Knows

Chapter 4

Maya's POV

Riley, Farkle, Lucas, and I walked into Topanga's and sat down. Riley and Farkle had all five of their books and Lucas and I had three. Riley and Farkle laughed at us when we weren't able to get all of our books before the library closed.

"You know, we still need those two other books, right?" Farkle asked

"Yeah, we know." I said

"You two were so slow!" Riley giggled

"Yeah, we know." Lucas said

"And look they're saying he same things again!" Farkle laughed

"No we're not!" Lucas and I yelled

Riley and Farkle started laughing and Lucas and I couldn't help but laugh too. We heard the door open and saw Josh walk in with some girl. Who's she? Why is Josh with her? I looked down at the ground.

"May?" Riley asked

I looked up at her and gave her a fake smile.

"Yeah Riles?" I said

"Are you okay?" She asked

"I'm always okay." I smiled

Riley gave me the 'I know your lying' look and I got up.

"I'm gonna get a drink." I said

"I'll come with you." Lucas said standing up besides me

Farkle, Riley, and I gave him weird looks.

"What? I'm thirsty." he said

"Fine Ranger Rick, but let's hurry up." i said

We walked over to the counter and waited to order our drinks. Once we did we stood there waiting for them.

"Maya?" Josh asked

Lucas and I both turned around. I saw Josh standing there smiling at me with that girl right next to him.

"Uh, hey Josh. Who's this?" I asked

"Oh, this is Lucy, my girlfriend." he said

I suddenly felt all sad inside. I wanted to start crying, but I didn't. I looked at Lucas and he was staring at me with concern.

"Hi, I'm Maya." I said

"Hey." she said with a big girly smile

It became an awkward silence and I really wanted to leave. Josh was about to say something but Lucas came back with two drinks in his hands.

"Hey Maya, here's your drink." Lucas said

"Thanks cowboy." I smirked taking a sip

"You two are cute. Are you dating?" Lucy asked

Lucas and I looked at each other and I spit out my drink.

"No!"

"Ew!"

"No way!"

"No!" Lucas and I shouted at the same time

Riley and Farkle came over to us. Riley was smiling at me and she had her phone out. Ugh. She must have gotten that on video.

"Are you guys sure you don't always do that?" Josh asked

"Now they do! It's just so cute!" Riley squealed

"Farkle." I begged

"I know. Come on Riley, let's get you a cookie." Farkle said grabbing her hand
