Sorry, this took so long. It's almost 2k words so it's longer than usual. I love this chapter a lot so get ready. :)

Bucky and I finished preparing dinner and cleaned up the mess that we had made. We sat down at the table with our pizzas and started eating. Nat and Steve joined us and we shared some pieces with them. We had done a great job, the pizzas were really good. Probably because they were made with love, a lot of it.

After eating, we did the dishes and Bucky and I went to the couch to watch a movie together. We, we'll mostly I, settled for a Disney movie. I convinced him to watch Finding Nemo, one of my favourite movies. He of course agreed.

I must have fallen asleep before the end of the movie because I felt Bucky picking me up from the couch and caring me to his bedroom. He lied me on the bed. He undressed me and put one of his oversized shirts over me while I was half-awake. He got into bed with me and pulled me closer to his chest, wrapping his arms around me.

I slowly closed my eyes again, feeling safer than ever in his arms. Everything went black as I drifted into sleep, thinking about what the future was holding for us. No one had ever made me this happy. I felt free and understood whenever I was near him. His smile, oh that smile, made me blush. I wasn't was it was, but now I know, it was love.

I woke up from the sound of a door cracking. I opened my eyes to see Bucky coming back into his room with a food plate.

"Happy birthday, doll," he whispered, seeing I wasn't fully awake yet. He sat down on the side of his bed, close to me.

"Thanks, I almost forgot about that," I said back, rubbing my eyes, trying to wake myself up. He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on my lips. I smiled ontpo his mouth. He pulled away.

"Eat, before it gets cold," he gestured to the breakfast he had gotten me.

"You didn't have to this, Bucky," I said, looking at the plate full of the perfect English breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, you name it, it was there.

"Well, I didn't really do it. I went to your favourite breakfast place and got it. I wanted you to have what you like most to start off your special day," he smiled.

"Well, thanks a lot. But do you know what would make this morning even better?" He shook his head, "you next to me," I answered. He smirked and got closer to me, sitting on his bed.

"Now, eat before it gets cold."

"You know, there is plenty of food for you to take some bites if you want," I suggested. He shook his head.

"This is your birthday breakfast," he argued.

"Bucky I know you. You won't be able to sit here and watch me eat while you look starved. Here, take a bite," I gave him the fork.

"You're sure?" He asked. I smiled and nodded as he took the fork from my hand. He took a bite as I told him to.

"This is really good," he said, mouth full of scrambled eggs. "Try it," he gave me back the fork. I did, I took a bite too. I nodded, it was really good food.

"It sure is a great way to wake up," I said swallowing the eggs. We finished eating breakfast together. Laughing and talking about anything. Exchanging kisses in between bites. And smiling at each other for no reason. He seemed happy, and I hoped he was. I hoped he was as happy as I was.

Since I woke up around 10 am and breakfast was for about an hour, I had the afternoon left until whatever Tony had planned for my birthday. I got ready. Took off Bucky's shirt to put on some clothes, a little bit of makeup and some jewelry. I decided to wear a sage green dress with little white flowers on it. I wasn't a fan of dresses and skirts, but I still found them cute.
