Chapter 18

I had tried on both dresses for Bucky. He licked his lips and his eyes widened whenever I took off a layer of clothes and stood half-naked in front of him. He told me they both looked amazing on me but ended up choosing the first one. I'm pretty sure he chose the first one so he could see me in my laced white underwear once more.

He had chosen a silky emerald green dress. It wasn't too long nor too short. It landed right above my knees. The dress was tight around my body, defying every one of my curves. Spaghetti straps fell on my shoulder, and the v-neck was deep, making my breasts pop out. Thinking of it, that was probably the actual reason Bucky had chosen that dress.

I went back to my own room to finish getting ready. I put on some gold pieces of jewelry. I did my hair and my makeup. I was ready to go. I went back to Bucky's room to see if he was ready. I opened the Fort and there he was, in his chic tuxedo. I know he hated wearing stuff like that, but he did it for me. We took each other's hands and went to the elevator to get to Tony's floor.

We let go of the other's hand right before the elevator reached Tony's floor. The doors opened and I couldn't help a smile to form on my lips from what was in front of me. Every member of the team was there, along with some of the closest employees who I knew well that worked with us. Tony did perfectly. He knew I didn't like it big, so he organized a small party with close friends.

Everyone's attention turned to me and Bucky when the elevator opened. Each person wished me a happy birthday and some asked how my day was. The love and attention everyone was showing and giving me were overwhelming.

I had one of the best times of my life. Steve and Nat helped Tony organized activities for the night. We started by just sitting on the couches, talking about everything and nothing with drinks filled with alcohol in our hands. We laughed a lot. Thor had some Asgardian liquor and suggested that we could do shots. We all agreed and drank.

I started feeling tipsy. I didn't want to drink that much since I wanted to remember the night. Nat got up and dragged us to do karaoke. We sang some song and it was great. We laughed so much. Tony tried his best singing, but he couldn't do the high notes and every time he tried we bursted out laughing.

"Okay, it's time for the birthday girl to sing a solo song,"Clint said. I shook my head, not wanting to do it. Everyone started cheering and pushed me to do it. I finally agreed and got on the little stage. I took the mic and waited for a song to start. Then it did, a song started and I smiled as I recognized the melody of Mr. Brightsight. One of the best song ever. I started moving my hips to the sound. I brought the mic to my mouth.

"Coming out of my cage
and I was doing just fine

because I want it all"

I stared at Bucky while singing the lyrics.

"It started out with a kiss
how did it end up like this

Everyone was cheering as I sang the words to the song. I was moving around, dancing. Once the song ended, everyone was clapping, telling how good that was. I thank them and rapidly got off the stage. We continued dancing to the music for a while. It felt good, partying like a teenager again.

After a little bit, the employees who were working early the next day went home to get some rest. We were just the team together. Nat brought us back to the couches and left with Wanda saying she was gonna come back in a second.
