I woke up around 11 am. I was still really tired since it was like 3:30 am when I went back to bed after Bucky and I's little talk on the roof. I still wasn't sure what to think about that. I anticipated the moment I would have to see him. He said he didn't hate me. What did he actually mean? I didn't know what to do at that point.

I also needed to talk to him alone, just to apologize. I had really overreacted and I hated myself for it. I felt bad just for asking him about his nightmare, I should've just not. I hoped things would go back to normal and maybe even better since we had a mission the next day.

I left my bed and put on some real clothes. I had slept in Bucky's shirt, even if I knew it was his. I'm not sure why though. I changed into some workout clothes, I was going to train with Nat. She was gonna show me how to fight in a dress and heels. I was septic about it. I had already trained in all types of shoes, but heals, never. I was good at walking with them, but I wasn't sure about fighting people and running.

"Wow, I'm impressed. You're gonna do amazing on that mission," Nat said to me after an hour and a half of fighting with heals on. I was also impressed with how I did. It was easier than it seemed.

"Yeah, thanks. I think we'll do great," I said taking a workout cloth and wiping the sweat from my face. I turned around to head back to my room and saw a male figure in the door frame. What was he doing here?

"I'm sure we'll do great," he said with a smirk on his face. He acted like nothing had happened the night before. I sighed and looked at him in his eyes.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked as I walked closer to him. Did he see me train with heals? I hoped not.

"Long enough to be sure we'll do great," he said, not taking his eyes off me. I was now only a few feet away from him. So he had seen me train. I didn't know what to reply.

Nat walked towards us. I looked at her with eyes that screamed "save me, please". She definitely realized that I needed help, but all she did was walk out of the room while looking back and forth between me and Bucky a couple of times.

"Well, I'll let you two get things sorted for tomorrow I guess," she said as she completely exited the room.

At that moment, I hated her. She knew how much Bucky and I couldn't stand each other and still left me alone with him.

"So Ellie," he started. He said my name in a different tone than usual. He talked in a different tone than usual, just like yesterday night. "When will I get my clothes back?" he asked.

"Whenever I'll give them back to you," I said with a cold tone. I swallowed and added on a calmer tone "I put them in the laundry to wash them. I'll give them to you when we'll come back from the mission."

"Sounds good to me," he said me a little smile on the corner of his lips. We stayed in silence for a little bit, looking everywhere except at each other. He broke the silence first.

"I was tortured," was the only thing that left his mouth.

"What?" I asked moving my gaze from the floor to his eyes. He started into mines for a couple of seconds before talking.

"My nightmare. From yesterday. It felt the same way it did when I was... there. I was stuck in this chair, and they would torture me. Sometimes, it hurt so much that I wasn't even able to scream," he explained. He moved his gaze from my eyes back to his feet.
