"Ready?" I asked, standing in the doorway of Pam and Colette's room. The Thea Sisters had gathered there to finish their final packing.
"I just need to find my brush," Colette said, looking through all her drawers. "That Antarctic air can be tough on my Fur. Ah, here it is!"
We headed outside as the sun was setting. Luckily, all the other students and teachers were inside the Dining Hal for dinner, and they didn't notice us leave. That's always important when you're on a Top Secret Mission.
"What a lovely evening." Violet said, looking at the Pink-tinged sky.
We hurried to the heliport down by the docks.
"There it is!" Paulina cried, pointing upward.
A helicopter rapidly descended toward us without making a sound. When it landed, we saw the symbol of the Seven Roses Unit on its side.
The door of the aircraft opened, and the pilot signaled for us to board.
"I'm Agent 927," he said. "Welcome!"
I sat next to him. "Thank you, Agent. This is a very quiet helicopter."
"It's an E-67 Ultrasonic," he informed me. "It's as quiet as a RAT sneaking through a CAT convention."
Pam laughed. "That's pretty quiet."
We all took our seats.
"Fasten Your Seat Belts!" the pilot ordered.
We obeyed, and seconds later the helicopter rose up as silently as a leaf lifted by the Wind.
Below us, the lights of Mouseford Academy turned on one by one. Soon, our beloved island became just a tiny dot in the middle of the sea.
