No Time To Waste

Will led us to the Hall of the Seven Roses. It has beautiful Columns, Spectacular statues, and the incredible living map on the ceiling, floor, and walls.
   Will used a laser pointer to show us the part of the map that depicted the Land of Clouds.
   "See?" he asked in a worried voice, aiming the pointer between two blue clouds. 
   "There's a CRACK, just like you said," I replied.
   "Yes, and unfortunately it's getting longer every day," he explained.
   "A crack means that something BAD is happening there, right?" asked Nicky.
   Will nodded. "Yes, sadly." 
   "That's terrible!" said Paulina. 
   "But we can try to help," Will said. "Let's head to the supercomputer and see what we can find out."
   We left the Hall of the Seven Rose's and entered a hallway with cool METAL floors and walls. Will stopped in front of a door and passed his crystal rose pendant in front of a SCANNER. After he said his name out loud, the door opened.
   We stepped into the supercomputer station. The machine inside contained all of the information about fantasy worlds that the researchers had collected.
   Will sat down at the keyboard and began to type, his paw moving SWIFTLY. Fast sequences of numbers and letters scrolled on he ENORMOUSE SCREEN in front of us.
   Then Will typed in a single phrase: "LAND OF CLOUDS."
   The computer gently hummed.
   "This may take a while," Will said. "We've collected a lot of data over the years."
   We started at the screen, WAITING for it to retrieve the information. Finally, an image appeared.
   "HERE WE GO," Will said, and he began to read aloud the story of the LAND OF CLOUDS. 
   

The Cloud Fairies
   According to legend, the Cloud Fairies have lived in the sky since the start of time. There are many kinds of Cloud Fairies. One type, the Weaver Fairies, produce a silver thread when they dream at night. During the day, they use this thread to weave the Clouds.

,Queen Nephele
   Queen Nephele rules the Land of Clouds with the assistance of the Grand Council of Fairies.

The Cloud Castle 
   The queen and her council dwell in the beautiful Cloud Castle. It constantly changes location because it is suspended by the air currents that crisscross the kingdom.

The Thirteen-Star Diamond
   The entrance to the Land of Clouds will only open when thirteen stars in the sky align to form the shape of a diamond. This passageway can be found on the world's highest peak.

"We must TRAVEL to the Land of Clouds as soon as possible," Will said. "There is no time to waste."
   "So let's HOP ON that crystal elevator!" Nicky said eagerly.
   Will frowned. "The CRACK in the map is very deep. The elevator might be too dangerous."
   "So to get there, we need to use the other entrance... the one on the world's HIGHEST peak," I reasoned.
   Will nodded. "Exactly!"
   "That's MOUNT EVEREST!" Violet cried.
   "Yes. With a summit at 29,035 feet, it's the HIGHEST POINT on Earth," Will said.
   "CHEESE AND CRACKERS! I can't even imagine being that high" said Pam.
   "And I love mountain climbing, but climbing Everest is a real challenge," Nicky pointed out. "How will we do that?"
   "We'll take the helicopter," said Will.
   "The E-67 can do things other copters can't," Will reminded me. "But before we head out, we need more information."
