The Cloud Castle

THE GRAND CLOUD BALL

Inside the Cloud Castle, the Weaver Faires made STAR decorations for the ceiling. They strung garlands of clouds made of GLITTERING silver threads. As we admired their amazing skill, Ariette approached us.
   "Do you like them?" she asked. pointing to the decorations. 
   "They're wonderful!" Colette replied. "Can you IMAGINE if we had decorations like these at Mouseford Academy?"
   "I've never seen anything like them," Will agreed.
   "All the fairy creatures of the Land of Clouds and the neighboring realms will join the party," Ariette explained. "Now come with me. I want to show you something."
   We followed her through the CORRIDORS of the castle until we reached the LIBRARY. On a large table in the middle of the room was a stack of shiny envelopes. Inside each was a lovely PINK CARD.
   "What elegant invitaions!" Violet said.
"The recipient is invited to the Grand Cloud Ball the first night of the full moon in the stellar month of the Blue Pearl"

"Would you help me DELIVER THEM?" Ariette asked us.
   "OF COURSE we'll help!" we replied. We followed her to the stables, where we found the flying UNICORNS. Then Ariette handed us SILVER THREAD.
   "Hang the envelopes around the necks of the unicorns," the fairy intruscted. "They will DELIVER them."
   As soon as every invitation was attached, the fairy gave a signal and the unicorns flew off. They were truly amazing, their glossy coats GLEAMING in the sun.
   Galatea joined us. "The Party begins soon, she informed us. "Queen Nephele asked me to take you to the fairies' wardrobe, where you can choose the DRESSES you would like to wear."
   "Did you  say fairies' wardrobe?" Colette repeated in disbelief. Then she looked at us with a twinkle in her eye. "What Are We Waiting For? LET'S GO GET READY!"
   The Thea Sisters burst into HAPPY LAUGHTER, and we hurried after Galatea.
   "Let's not take too long," I said, thinking of Colette's usual behavior back at the academy. "We're the GUESTS OF HONOR. We can't be late!"

  After we changed into our beautiful GOWNS, we entered the Hall of Stars. It looked magnificent! And each fairy wore a GORGEOUS dress in the color of a GLOWING JEWEl.
Ariette pointed to a group of princes across the room. "Those are the PRINCES OF NIMBUS, descendants of the ancient sky family," she explained. "They are known for their nobility of SPIRIT and courage."
   Then one of the princes broke off from the group and made his way to the queen.
   "That's actually the King of Nimbus," Ariette said. "His name is Nebus."
   Everyone bowed he walked by. Then he greeted then Queen with an ELEGANT bow.
   She gave him her hand and he led her to the center of the room, where the two began to DANCE with grace and elegance.
   "They look made for each other," Nicky remarked.
   "And they seem to be in love," said Violet with a smile.
   Then the Princes of Nimbus approached our little group. Some invited the Thea Sisters to dance, while some stopped to talk to me and Will about their travels in Faraway Places.
