Stiletto clacked against hardwood floor. Disappoint tainted the air.
Your skin stung with all sorts of cuts and bruises, and your arm hung out at a weird angle. You couldn't even tell if you had all your ribs intact anymore.
You toppled to the floor, the woman guiding you through the hallway turning at the noise. "Your in pain." You cackled cruelly. "Didn't know that. Great job, you should be the next Rex Lapis." Purple hair whipped across your vision as she crouched down to meet your eyes. It smelled of lavender and sweat. She had probably spent days looking for you, without sleep or breaks. Her tone was deathly serious. "You ran away from me. And got attacked. By a swarm of geovishaps. AND NOW YOU THINK YOU CAN DISRESPECT ME." Her voice rang out across the hall, anger soaking it. "Your lucky I had been there to save you , S/O. " her tone dropped lower, gathering a more sweet hint. "I wish you hadn't run away, my love." She pressed her lips to your forehead. "I love you so much. Why can't you understand that?" You cringed away. "You killed my girlfriend, Keqing." Her eyes suddenly dimmed, and she stood up. "She was in the way." Keqing took a deep breath, trying to regain her typically calm nature. "There is a bath waiting for you in your chamber. I expect an apology when I finish." You stared at her, defiant. "Shut up." Big mistake. Electrical force rammed into your stomach, and the smell of burning flesh forced a scream out of your throat. Pain. Everywhere. Whatever was left of your ribs felt like jell-o. Keqing stared coldly down at your crumpled shape. "Apologize. Or I will be the cruel mistress you make me out as."
The sound of stiletto walking away, and you were already accepting your new life.
