So this is a collection on one-shots not a full story. Each chapter/part is short because these are small moments between Maxerica. I am writing this almost a year after I started and I am so happy with the results. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!!

America's POV

My maids dressed me in red. They say it "compliments my skin." Not being a fashion queen, I went with the flow. Maxon had a 'surprise' for me. I tried to get hints, but he wouldn't let a peep. When I walked out if my room he was standing there in a perfectly pressed suit.

"Hello my dear, you look beautiful," he said smiling. I playfully rolled my eyes even though I was grinning.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked through the halls.

"What do you not understand about surprises?" He joked. He pulled a red blindfold out of his pocket and starting placing it over my eyes.

"You must where this." I let out a groan, but he just laughed. With our hands intwined we walked out the doors at the back of the palace. I knew this because I could already smell the thick scent of roses. "Almost there." We walked for what seemed like too long and finally came to a stop. "You can take it off now," I heard and I tore if from my face, earning myself another laugh. When I looked I was amazed. In the wide grassy field ahead if us was a blanket covered in red rose petals. On top of it laid a big picnic basket and more full roses.

"This-this is amazing Maxon," I said, kissing him on the cheek.

"I'm glad you like it." He sat me down and picked up a flower. "For you my dear," He said placing the rose in my hair. We dug into our food and I was immediately appealed. We laughed, talked I and played around until sundown. I could easily say this was a great first valentines day!
