Chapter Four:
ExchangeReese Ta'vian Jackson
Jacksonville, Florida"When I get back, yo ass better be gone." Keith said as he stood at the door of Reese's room, "You been home for 2 weeks, I've been patient but life goes on."
Reese sighed as his father shut the door, he could hear his heavy footsteps get quieter and quieter. Getting out of bed, he showered and got dressed. Simply wearing a plain wifebeater, some grey Nike joggers and white airforces.
His tattoos were on full display but the school didn't care since they were already permanent. He stared at himself for a while and realised that he wanted another tattoo on his face.
He gon beat my ass if I'm still here. Reese thought to himself before he walked out and got into his car before driving.
The sun was out and it was burning, as he drove, he saw Pearl walking by herself. She had AirPods on and she was dancing a bit as she walked. Slowing down the car, Reese drove at her pace of walking.
"Shorty! Let's go!" Reese shouted, beeping the horn which made Pearl jump in shock.
"Boy if I wanted to get in a car I would've gotten in my own damn car!" She shouted back before she continued walking. Kissing her lips after speaking.
"We only got 5 minutes and then we late. Walking gon' take 30 minutes." Reese said, watching her roll her eyes rudely. He watched her and then frowned, fuck she think she is?
Checking her phone, Pearl realised that she was going to be late. Defeated, she walked towards the car and just as she was about to open the door, Reese shouted:
"Get them giraffe legs to work." Before he drove off.
He was trying to be nice and she was busy rolling her eyes and shit. Reese would only give a person one chance and if they ruined that, he would lock the whole thing off. He didn't have time to be wasted, especially with females.

After parking the car, he walked inside and saw that he had just barely made it. He slipped into his English Lit class and sat at the back, ignoring all the curious glances. People knew better than to say anything about him.
Yawning in the back, Reese was just chilling when he saw the door open to reveal Pearl, she looked fine but she was hella late. She'd definitely gotten a detention.
She ignored the teacher and just walked straight to the empty seat, which was next to Reese. Pearl slumped into the seat, glancing at him before she pulled out the book they were reading before trying to catch up.
"So you not gon' say sorry?" She whispered, putting the book up to her face making sure the teacher couldn't see her talking.
Reese didn't reply.
Kissing her teeth, she just didn't talk to him the whole lesson and when the bell rang, she walked out. Reese chuckled as he watched her walk, her ass was fat.
Pearl was tall and thick; she had the thick thighs, the fat ass and hips. Her booty even jiggled in the jeans she was wearing but no booty was enough to ever make Reese apologise. Not sincerely.

Kirari was currently dying with laughter as she listened to Pearl recall the events of what had happened this morning. They were sitting in their usual spot in the cafeteria, Pearl was eating while Kirari was studying.
"That nigga is foul for that." She said as she wiped off the tears.
"I asked if he gon' apologise and he just ignored me." Pearl grumbled as she sipped a vanilla milkshake that she'd bought on her way to school.
Since she was late, she figured that she might as well buy some food.
"I told you he ain't the type you wanna be around. That boy rude as hell, ion know why you so interested." Kirari said as she read her notes, taking in information despite the noise around her.
"It's something that's interesting, ion even know what yet either." Pearl smiled. She'd never been the type to shy away from liking someone and so far, she wanted Reese.
Kirari glanced up at Pearl for a second before going back to reading her book, she could smell drama coming.
Just as they were chilling, a boy with a letterman jacket walked up to their table. It was Marquis 'Shoota' Williams. He was the captain of the basketball team and he didn't brag about it.
Marquis wasn't the type of boy to be heard, he'd be seen. With his towering height of 6'5 and muscular body, he's an athlete and Star ready to be made. His skin was a dark, smooth brown, his eyes big and chocolate while his teeth were straight and pearly white. They called him Shoota because he'd never missed a shot—in basketball.
"Hey, I'm Marquis." He introduced himself, paying attention to both ladies to be respectful but you could tell his eye was on Pearl. His voice was deep yet smooth, filled with richness that just tickled both girls.
"I'm Pearl." She said with a small smile, he was close enough for her to smell him and he smelt like cologne and spices.
"I was wondering if I could get yo number, I think you one of the most beautiful women I ever seen." Marquis spoke honestly, his eyes sparkling with hope as he flashed a smile, releasing his deep dimples.
Pearl couldn't help but gush. She gave him what he asked for and her Instagram too.

Lessons had all been finished and she was walking home, Kirari had stayed in school to give freshman after school lessons. The girl was always busy, she had literally no free time and Pearl admired that. She understood that her friend had goals so she didn't mind, plus they'd just met.
The Florida heat was doing things to her, it was hot but the humidity added to it was killing her.
Pearl saw Reese's black BMW parked on the side and just as she was about to walk to it, wondering why he hadn't gone home yet, someone shouted her name.
Turning around, she saw Marquis running over to her. She felt butterflies but thoughts of Reese were also pressing at the back of her mind. She ignored them because of his rudeness and focused on the fine man in front of her.
"Boy why was you running?" She asked as she laughed, watching him panting while sweat ran down his forehead.
"I'm tryna walk yo ass home but you walk so damn fast." He said as he panted.
"Ain't you an athlete? How you tired so quick?" Pearl cracked up even more, this was the captain of their basketball team.
"Don't be all in people's business like that." Marquis responded before he stood straight and they began walking, he would occasionally bump her and they'd laugh.
Reese watched them walk as he took a long drag from him blunt. And to think that he had waited for her so that he could apologise.
