Pearl frowned as she packed her bags, she was pissed as hell but most of all, she was sad. Heartbroken. To think that her own granny was kicking her out.

Ever since she'd started dating Blanco, she'd stopped going to school or even socialising with anyone besides him. Without realising it, she was falling victim to a very basic strategy that abusers tended to use: isolating their prey so that they had no one to rely on but them.

Mama G had hated Blanco from the start. She often called him 'evil' or a 'psychopath', which often resulted in argument between the two women. Pearl had gotten tired and it seemed like she wasn't the only tired one.

Sighing, Pearl zipped up her suitcase before lifting up her bags and dragging the towards her car. Tears welled up in her eyes as she watched her granny grab her handbag and give it to her, tears evident in her eyes too.

"That boy is going to ruin you, Pearl. You falling for the same shit as your momma, she rolling in her grave." Mama G sighed, staring at her granddaughter. "You don't go to school, you aint got no friends and all you live for is him."

She had tried everything to keep the pair away from each other but she gave up. A part of her blamed Pearl's good-for-nothing father because had he been a good parental figure, his daughter would know what real love from a man was like.

"You don't know him, he loves me and cares for me." Pearl explained with tears rolling down her eyes. She was once again being abandoned.

Darryl had abandoned her. Now Mama G. The trauma was too much for her, she didn't know wnat to do. Sad thing was, she had no friends to get comfort from or even hug. All she had was Blanco.

"I love you, baby and when you finally open your eyes, my door is wide open for you." Mama G spoke softly before kissing her grand daughter.

She walked back into the house and shut the door, the sound of keys was enough to make Pearl realise that she really was alone now. All her family had left her.

Sniffling, she threw her handbag into the passenger seat before siting down on the driver's seat. Her heart ached while she drove to the oh, so familiar gated house.

Parking the car, Pearl walked into the house to find it empty. Her heart still raced when she stared at the spot where the box was but she'd moved on. Placing her keys on the table, she looked around for Blanco and made her way upstairs to his room.

"Where this man at?" She asked herself before she started hearing noises.

Following the noise, Pearl opened Blanco's bedroom door to find him fucking a bitch in missionary. He'd never done that position with her before, which stung even more. The smell of sex filled the room as Pearl simply froze, taking in the sight.

Blanco sighed before he pulled out of the girl, he grabbed some boxers and put them on. She wasn't meant to come until tomorrow but she'd taken him by surprise. Pearl's breath was shaky as she finally blinked her wide open eyes.

As she watched his calm demeanor, her rage began to build up. She'd sacrificed everything for this man, including her one and only family. Impulsively, Pearl grabbed a vase and smashed it on his head, making Blanco drop onto the floor with a thud.

Blood seeped out of his head and onto the carpet but she didn't care. How dare he?

She pulled the gun from his waistband and aimed it at the girl, the Latina immediately began screaming.

"Get the fuck out!" Pearl shouted and the girl complied as she ran out of the room buttnaked.

As she heard the girl slam the door shut, Pearl sat down on the edge of the bed and stared at Blanco's limp body. She held the glock in her hand as she felt the tears roll down her eyes. Sobs filled the room and she cried, she cried for hours.

He didn't even look sorry. She thought to herself. It would've been better if he'd panicked and attempted to apologise but he looked bored. Purely disinterested in her and her feelings.

Her heart broke as she rubbed the glock on her head, trying to think of what she was going to do. Mama G had kicked her out, Kirari had cut her off and Reese wasn't even an option.

She truly was all alone.

Pearl wiped all the tears from her face, pulled her lashes off and threw them on the floor. The glock in her hand was tucked into her sweats while she spat on Blanco before she ran down the stairs and to her car.

She'd been so stupid.

Reality set in as she drove to a hotel. She'd trusted him. Loved him. Lost her virginity to him and had sex with him countless times. Pearl had sacrificed her education and future for him. She was a joke.

Grabbing her suitcases, Pearl checked into a hotel and walked up to her room. Ignoring the worried stares from people. Probably because mascara was running doen her face or how crazy her hair looked. She was too exhausted to care, everything had gone to shit in the span of five hours.

Exhaling, she placed her suitcases down before throwing herself on the bed and sleeping. Pearl didn't want to think about anything. Not her relationship, her life or anything. She'd fucked up real bad.

Everything in her life felt dark. She felt like a cloud was following her around, blocking any type of light that tried to make its way to her. Whenever she'd be happy, it would always end in the worst ways. When would she catch a break?

Even while she slept, tears slowly trickled down her face and onto the sheets. Staining them with her pain, she'd really been played by a man once again.

However, in the room next door, slept two men who would change her life forever. Question was: Would it be for the better or worse?
