There are good days and there are bad days. I just ask you have patience if I'm not sunshine and rainbows all the time. Got it?
George felt like he understood it when she said this to him, however he wasn't quite feeling like it now. The pregnancy was well into the second trimester and McKenna's mood swings had taken hold. For the life of him George couldn't remember what he did wrong. He carried her bag to class, he helped her when she puked, and he gave her his shirts when her's didn't fit. Which he might add was adorable and sometimes he couldn't stand how much it made him feel. Her standing there in his shirt with his child. However at the moment it wasn't the time to be reminiscing as McKenna was currently sobbing locked in the bathroom at Harry and Ginny's dorm. Harry was at first livid, rounding on George demanding what he did wrong. Until Harry ended up just as puzzled because George truly did nothing wrong that either of them could think. They could easily break the lock if they wanted to, but the only person she seemed to listen to was Ginny. Soon enough Ginny convinced McKenna to let her into the bathroom. That was hours ago. George had almost fallen asleep on the couch and Harry had taken to practicing little tricks with his wand.
"It's been quiet for awhile, maybe we go knock?"
Harry suggested to George. He cracked his eyes open and stretched his sleepy limbs.
"If your sister has taught me anything in the past couple months, she's persistent, stubborn, and you have to let her come to you. So I am going to sit right here and wait."
Harry snorted before concentrating on his feather again. He had currently created an imaginary obstacle course for it and was sending the feather flying all across the room in loops and zig zags.
"Hey, have you heard much from Fred?"
George opened his mouth and paused. He actually hadn't really heard from Fred, which was very unlike the other Weasley twin. Now that George actually thought about it, the last time he heard from Fred was when he left to the ministry to get matched. That was two weeks ago. Shouldn't he have been matched by now? Before George could ponder further, the bathroom door clicked open. Out waddled a very pregnant Ginny followed by an even bigger McKenna. Ginny smiled softly at Harry nodding slightly. The girls linked their hands together and walked to the living room. McKenna never took her eyes off the floor. George stood up. She let go of Ginny's hand and shuffled right in front of him.
"Sunshine?"
"...M'sorry"
"Hmm?"
"I said I'm sorry..."
McKenna mumbled towards her toes. Softly she wrung her hands, working up the words to continue.
"I.. there was a lot of small stuff that happened and it made me so, so frustrated. I was so angry that when you joked about my belly, you really weren't even joking just being nice, I lost it. I don't even know why I just felt so angry. Now looking at it, I feel like I overreacted so badly and I don't even know why I did that. I'm sorry I snapped at you, can you forgive me?"
George chuckled softly and smiled at the girl in front of him.
"I forgive you butterfly, I knew you were upset and didn't mean it. I just didn't know what I did because I thought I did something bad. So no need to apologize, I understand."
George reached out his hand and faced it palm up, outstretched. McKenna breathed a laugh as she interlocked their fingers and pulling him into a hug. George laughed as her belly bumped into him, making him bend over to be able to reach her face. Pressing a kiss to her hairline, George waved to Ginny and Harry as he turned to leave. Only to be tugged back by McKenna who wasn't moving.
