"What are you wearing today?" Torin asked as he sat in his car and ate his Chic-Fil-A sandwich.

"I'm wearing my favorite Aaliyah shirt with some ripped jeans. Of course, I had to wear my jewelry and my bucket hat." I said as I sat my bookbag down on the bench.

"My girl think she clean, boy." Torin said laughing.

"And is." I said giggling as I flipped my hair.

"You been feeling, ok?" Torin asked as he took a sip of his soda.

"Yeah, I've been okay. I haven't talked to my dad, though. I wanted to keep my distance." I said sighing as I held my phone.

"That's crazy. You guys talk almost everyday."

"So. We've been talking everyday and I miss you. I really want to talk about us." I said as I licked my lips.

"Ry, I got a lot going on right now. You know I would do anything to be with you, but it's a lot. Plus, your dad wants me to stay away from you." Torin said as he sucked his teeth.

"Wait, what you mean? What do you have going on?"

"Look, how about if I come see you this weekend, ok? Would you like that? We need to talk seriously. Deadass, Ry." Torin said as he looked serious.

"Whoa, you got me scared—"

All of a sudden, Marcus beeped in.

"Hey T, Marcus is calling me. I'll hit you back later, ok?"

"Alright. Love you." Torin said as he smiled a little.

"Ok, I love you, too." I said blushing a little.

I hung up as I answered Marcus.

"Yo, what's up big head."

"What are you doing this weekend?"

"Torin is suppose to—"

"Nothing? Ok. We're going to Texas this weekend. Our flight is Saturday."

"Excuse me? Who's we?"

"You and I are going to Texas with Auntie Aimee."

"Really? What's in Tex—"

"Girl, you ask too many questions that I don't have the answer to. All I know is that I gave Jamie Aunt Aimee's number two weeks ago after you left. Jamie left town and all of a sudden we are going to Texas."

"Can we not go—"

"Girl, can you just pack? I gotta go and take something for this headache I got. Bye."

"By—"

All of a sudden, Marcus hung up on me.

"Bye. Love you, too." I said sighing as I got up, but was pushed back down on the bench.

"Caleb? What the hell is wrong with you?" I said as I looked at him.

The scary part is that I didn't even see or hear Caleb walk towards me.
