The battle was done, it was over, they had won but they had lost so much that Lina was drowning in grief rather than celebrating. She left Cedric who was taking a much needed catch up with his parents, she walked down the hall passing the Wealsey family, Danny who was sat alone his head in his hands.

She paused for a moment wondering if she should talk to him but she didn't know what to say so she carried on.

She saw Draco sitting with Narcissa and Lucius, as she passed they all watched her go, no words were exchanged but a silent understanding seemed to be acknowledged between them.

She moved through the rubble, all the dead bodies had moved so now the open entrance way was laid bare. She left the castle and walked across the grounds her hands in her pockets. She didn't realise where she was heading until she arrived at the Black Lake and suddenly it made sense.

She sat down on the damp grass and hugged her knees to her chest resting her cheeks against her knees. The world was silent and still around her and even though there was a slight breeze no grass nor trees swayed in dance, there was no ripples in the water but Lina wondered if the mer-people under the surface were celebrating the defeat of Voldemort.

As Lina sat there her thoughts drifted to what her life was going to be like, before there was a sense of uncertainty hanging over her head the unknowing of what she could do but now anything was possible. Maybe her and Cedric would travel, like they had planned to do with Lucy and Danny, maybe Danny would come with them too and it would be a trip to celebrate Lucy's life rather than mourn the loss but then what about Teddy, as godmother Lina was now responsible for him.

Well who says you can't travel with a baby, but she'd only do so if Andromeda was comfortable with it. She'd have to sort out the finer details later.

But what would she do for work there was no way she'd ever go back to St Mungos not with the death of Sam still being too fresh, she looked up at the castle maybe Hogwarts would need a healer.

Running through all the details was the only way Lina didn't get lost in grief, she needed to have at least an idea of a plan to keep above surface otherwise she would drown in the losses she had faced tonight.

As she ran the plans around her head she traced patterns in the ground around her she was too distracted to realise someone had approached her and sat down besides her.

Harry looked at Lina and then back out at the Black Lake. Lina looked at Harry and then back out to the Black Lake. Neither spoke at first but found comfort in each others company.

"Before I gave myself up to Voldemort I found something in the golden snitch Dumbledore left me" Harry said. Lina looked over at and saw him playing with a small black stone in his hand. "Have you ever heard of the Deathly Hallows?"

Lina shook her head.

"Well you know the story of the three brothers who met death on a bridge?"

Lina nodded, remembering it as one of the stories Remus would read her before bed, maybe she could read Teddy those same stories when he was older.

"And they were all given something from death?"

Lina nodded again.

"Well they all turned out to be true. The wand as you know was Dumbledore's and now well...mine. The cloak was mine too and my dad's before me and the resurrection stone is what I used to speak to my parents, Sirius and Lupin before I gave myself up."

"Oh" Lina finally said.

"I'm going to get rid of it but before I did I thought there might be someone, or more than one person you'd like to speak to."
