Another day
Jungwon panicked seeing the older
male entering the room, digging trough his jacket he struggles to find his mask to which Jihoon laughs.
"You don't have to hide, I'll keep quiet" the man assures the idol.
A sigh of relief escpars Jungwon's mouth."So, since when are you two a thing" The older boy asks, a smirk on his face. The teens immediately look at each other, their faces getting redder by the second."We aren't dating" Haewon quickly denies. "Yet" Jihoon winks at them.Silence filled the small store.Jungwon silently waited for Haewon to gather her stuff while Jihoon went around the store looking around to see if anything had to be restocked.
"Im ready" Haewon sang out as she approached her friend."Took ya long enough let's go" The idol says, walking out of the shop.Right as they stepped out of the small store Haewon's phone rang with the same ringtone from a month ago- Fever.
Looking at the caller ID she quickly presses on the green button.
"Hi dad what's up?Why are you calling so late , it's almost 11" The girl questions the moment her phone gets near her ear.As she listens to what her father says her mouth opens a little.
"I'm coming right now" The girl excitedly shouts, a big smile on her face. The moment she hangs up, Jungwon immediately bombards her with questions."what's up, where are we going, what does your dad want?"
He says all in one breath, curious as to why is the girl so excited.
"My dad said he's finally home!"
The girl cheered already impatient to go home."Oh, well I guess I can walk you home" Jungwon says. The boy really wanted to talk to her today, thinking of finally confessing his feelings for the girl, but in the current situation he decided to push the plan aside.
"Thank you Woonie, you are the best!"
Haewon says as she hugs him tight. The walk to the house was filled with laughter as the two joked about the new En o'clock that had come out.
Soon enough they were in front of the big house.
A tall, well built man stood at one of the balconies smoking a cigarette.
He saw the two in front of the house and waved slowly.Haewon immediately recognized the man as her father."Hi dad" she yelled out, waving at him from the street.
"Well I gotta go Woonie, thanks for walking me" she hugged the boy.
"No worries, say hi to everyone from me, I'll text you when I'm home" The boy says before he heads back to his dorm. The girl looked back one last time before running inside, immediately going up the stairs to see her father."Hello there" her father greeted the girl.
The smell of cigarettes still lingering around him, making the girl scrunch her nose in disgust.
"You should seriously quit those" she says before hugging her father.
"Maybe I should" he chuckles before looking down at his daughter again.
"You've grown so much for just a month little one" He pats the girl on the head.
"Now though, who was that?" The man asks his eyebrows furrowing a little.
"Oh, he.... He is just a friend" Haewon says scratching the back of her neck, wanting to avoid the 'boyfriend' talk with her father as much as she can.
"An idol friend" her mom adds, leaning on to the doorframe.
Mr.Lee's eyes narrowed."An idol...?" He asked again slowly."Yes, he is an idol, is that a problem?" The clueless child asks. Her father scoffs as he diggs trough the pockets of his suit, taking out yet another cigarette out of a box. He put it between his lips and lit it with a lighter he always kept by his side.
"Yeah, scandals at least are..." The old man says leaning on the balcony's railing."From now on you are forbidden from going out with this idol boy, even in the middle of the night" He says as he taps the cigarette, letting the burnt parts fall to the ground."Dad that's not fair he is just a frie-"
Just before the girl could finish her sentace Mr.Lee turned around."You never let me finish... just like your mom" he says, walking closer to his daughter as Mrs.Lee laughs at the lame joke her husband said.
"I said you cant go out, not that you can't bring him here" He smirks before going back inside the house, grabbing the hand of his wife, leading her to their shared bedroom.Haewon left dumbfounded by herself on the balcony, smiled, finally realizing what her father meant.
____________________At the doorm the six boys were all over the house, each doing their own thing.
All of them though, united in the living room as Jungwon finally came home.
"Did she accept?" Was the first thing he heard upon entering. As silence met his hyungs they all assumed the worst.
"Jungwon bro I'm sorry" Jake immediately went by his friends side, hugging him tight.
"It's okay, I didn't ask her anything yet" the younger one says with a chuckle as he struggles to get out of his friends embrace. "Did you really chicken out" Ni-ki asks with risen eyebrows.
"No, we were interrupted, she had to go" the boy explains, plopping down on the couch beside Heesung who looked almost asleep. "Well at least she didn't reject you, so that's good news" Jay chims in from the the other side of the couch."I guess you are right, then next time it is.... " the boy sighed to himself.
