Chapter 18

Caught red handed

"I like you"

Those words struck her like a lightning.
Haewon stood silent while worry filled the boy in front of her.
She just sat on the wooden bench looking down at her hands, once again feeling the coldness as he had let them go. She looked up to see his face, cheeks and nose red not only from the coldness but because of the embarrassment of confessing.His eyes couldn't meet the girl's, he just gazed upon the lake waiting for her to utter a word."Jungwon" she whispered trough a small smile, catching the boy's attention.He looked at her with worry.
"I like you too" She spoke softly. Before she could say anything else, Jungwon had pulled her in to a tight hug "For a minute I thought you were going to reject me" He said squeezing her right.

"I planned on confessing today as well" she said with a small giggle,while wrapping her hands around him.Jungwon quickly pulled away from the hug, confusion all over his face"Wait.... Really?" He asked in pure surprise.Haewon nodded her head, explaining how much she thought about it last night, and how scared she was the whole time. Both laughed while sitting there,Jungwon explained how he and his hyungs had made a whole plan for the confession,which he ditched thinking now would be a better time.

"We should go" Haewon said looking at her phone.A whole hour had passed and she surely didn't want to piss off her father.While walking back to the house, with some hesitation, Jungwon slowly tried to take a hold of her hand.She noticed quite quickly how histant he was, so she took his.He looked at her face only to see her little smile.He chuckled lightly and squeezed her hand"I'm so happy right now" He shyly laughed "I am as well Wonnie"

As they entered the house only to be met by the loud soumd of snorting.
Following the noise, the two went to the living room where Mr.Lee had fallen asleep on the couch, the tv remote still in his hand.
They giggled seeing the man, but soon left him to sleep peacefully ,heading to the kitchen to grab a snack."Hey mom" Haewon greeted Mrs.Lee who seemed to be loading the dishwasher. "Hi kids" she greeted with a warm smile."Well be going upstairs, just grabbing a snack real quick" The girl says, digging through the fully stocked fridge. Jungwon stared in awe at everything inside be it fruits, sweets, ingredients or a random cake- they had it all neatly organized.
"Okay dear, just be careful" Haewon's mother says, finally closing the dishwasher."Of what?" The girl cluelessly asks, grabbing some cola out of the fridge."you know....ummm...boy in your room" he mother chuckles, turing the dishwasher on and quickly exiting the kitchen and it's now awkward atmosphere.

Haewon and Jungwon both understood the joke and so their faces turned redder than a tomato.Quietly the two teens headed upstairs, entering the girl's room. Jungwon threw himself on the big bed,he patted the spot beside himself, geturing for Haewon to join him - which she did, throwing herself right beside him.

They layed down facing each other, with smiles brighter than the sun.
"So will you be my girlfriend" Jungwon shyly asks."I would love to be your girlfriend" Haewon said, looking straight into his eyes.
He quickly pulled her closer to himself pressing his lips against hers.Surprised the girl stood frozen with wide eyes for a second, but quickly returned the kiss after recollecting herself.

Slowly pulling away they started at each other breathless.
The moment they broke from the kiss, the door of her room flew open
"Living room. NOW." Haewon's father said, the veins of his forehead visible from kilometers away.
"Wait here I'll be right back" the girl said, rushing over to her dad's request.
"Oh no, both of you are coming" The old man spoke with fury in his eyes.
Jungwon pretty shaken up immediately jumped from the bed and headed down stairs with the Father and daughter.

Sitting on the couch, the couple looked down, too scared to glance at the man sitting in the armchair beside them, digging through his phone.
"What is this.... how can you be so reckless...?!" He said, handing his phone over to the two.

' Famous CEO's daughter, caught up in a scandal with an unidentified idol.Who is the lucky boy behind the bucket hat and mask?How will that affect both sides?'

"A girl from your school recognized you and took a picture knowing the boy must have been an idol due to his clothing ,later on she tweeted it" the man chuckles, running a hand trough black hair.
"Dad look I'm so sorry-" Haewon began to explain herself but was cut of by Jungwon."Sir it's all my fault, I shouldn't have gone out of the house I deeply apologize" He boweds down, ready to leave."Both of you are at fault and you shall have to suffer the consequences.We will say its a just a friend of hers and will pay someone to be her pretend boyfriend for a week." Mr.Lee says, standing up."And you will never go out with her ever again" He smiles down at the young idol.
"That's your last day here, enjoy it" He speaks one last time, leaving  the couple alone in the dark living room.
The sun had just set behind the mountains and the only light coming inside was the one from the full moon outside.
"I am so sorry" he spoke softly, gently holding his girlfriend's hands."You know that old man won't stop me from seeing you" Haewon chuckles, a little tear flowing down her cheek.
"I know babe" Jungwon says, a blush creeping on his cheeks because of the name he had called her.
She placed a peck on his lips, before they headed to the kitchen to eat dinner.
