I was laying on my bed. "Honey! Why don't you go to the thrift store?" my mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. "Sure mom!" I said. I got up quickly. Picking out some tight blue jeans, a green tank top, a dark green sweater, and my brown boots I grabbed my cell phone and walked outside. Walking in the direction of the thrift shop, I reached into my leather shoulder bag and pulled out my song journal. Looking over my piano music, I made sure I also had my guitar music. My friend Luke, who works at the thrift shop, loves hearing me play. I don't know why, because he is 16, but a big sweetheart! Not looking where I was going, I bumped straight into someone. My music spilling on the ground, I frantically reached for it. "My goodness I apolagize!" the voice said. Was he or she british? Looking up I saw two green eyes and some auburn hair. He had white teeth and dimples. "No it's completely my fault. I should have paid attention to where I was going." I said, still looking into those eyes. He reached out a hand that I gratefully took. Standing up I stuffed my music into my bag. He still stood there, watching me. Being situated again, I faced him. He had a soft smile. "Well. Aren't you gorgeous!" he said. I felt a blush creeping to my cheeks. "Ummm thanks." I mumbled, trying to hide my face. He took up his hand and brushed my hair away. My blush deepened as he looked at me. "Do you have a phone number, love? I might need someone to show me around. I'm new to town you see." he said. "Ummm of coarse! Here let me write it down for you." I reached unto my bag, scribbling my number down on a ripped out sheet of paper. I handed to him, walking past him to the thrift shop. I could feel his eyes on my back. Smiling to myself, I reached the shop.
Hearing the familiar ding as I entered the wooden door, I saw Luke behind the counter chatting with another employee. I walked over. Business was minimum, so I just jumped on the counter. Luke smiled at me. Chuckling he pinched my cheek. I slapped his hand away, proceeding to lay down on my back. Missing the counter, Luke caught my back. He chuckled again, leaning me back onto the side of the counter. "Hey girly." he said.
'Sup boy." I said.
"Are you gonna play for me or not?" he asked.
"Uuugghhhh I guess" I said leaping off the counter.
"I'm just gonna play an old song." I stated, walking towards the piano. I began singing and playing.
"I can't win,
I can't reign
I will never win this game
Without you, without you
I am lost, I am vain,
I will never be the same
Without you, without you
I won't run
I won't fly
I will never make it by
Without you, without you
I can't rest
I can't fight
All I need is you and I
Without you
Without you
Oh oh oh!
You! You! You!
Without
You! You! You!
Without you
Cant erase
So I'll take blame
But I can't accept we're estranged
Without you
Without you
I can't quit
This can't be right
I can't take one more sleepless night
Without you
Without you
I won't soar
I won't climb
If you're not here I'm paralyzed
Without you
Without you
I can't look
I'm so blind
I lost my heart
I lost my mind
Without you
Without you
Oh oh oh!
You! You! You!
Without
You! You! You!
Without you
( everyone is now clapping the beat)
I am lost
I am vain
I will never be the same
Without you
Without you
Without you"
I finished my song. Everyone applauded as I took a dramatic bow. I walked back towards the counter. "So, Luke. Anymore pens for me?" I asked him. You see, Luke always goes through the 'desk items box' and looks for the coolest pens, and then gives them to me! "Yeah! Give me a sec!" he said. I watched him reach into his back pack, and pull out a box of them! He dumped them on the counter. I looked at them. There were three pinks, two greens, five yellows, seven purples, eighteen orange gel pens, a fuzzy pink pen, a polka dotted rainbow pen, and a pen that had multiple colors. I took the whole box. Waving a final good bye, I began walking home.
Stepping into my elevator, I went to my floor. Stepping inside my room, I dumped all my new/old pens into my white desk and sat on my piano bench. I had a sparkly red piano, and a fluffy white piano bench. My fingers glided across the white keys.
I gazed around my bedroom. I had a very large bedroom actually. I had a king sized bed with black and white covers of various patterns, with pink pillows and sheets. Along with stuffed Teddy bears and monkeys. I had polka dots and posters all over my walls. A white desk, pink vanity set with light up mirror and lots of makeup, a shoe closet, a ginormous closet that takes up an entire wall, and many pillows. I also had many instruments. My many instruments include, my red piano, my keyboard, my trumpet, my gold ukelele, my blue bass guitar, my red electric guitar, and my sea foam green electric guitar with a bedazzled dragon fly. I had at the far side of my room a huge balcony that opened to the street. I was needless to say spoiled. And happy. I began playing my piano for a bit of practice when I heard my cell phone go off. I looked at it and 'unknown number' was on it. Confused, I opened my phone to read a text that read 'up for some tea tomorrow?:) -Andy'
Not knowing really who it was, I then remembered the hot British guy I met that morning. Answering a quick 'definitely' I stripped into my PJs and hopped in bed, excited for my coffee date!
