I scrolled through my mentions. Hmmm. I had three messages. Ok then. The first one was from Justice. Opening it, I saw this note 'I'm having a pool party. Wanna come?' Justice and I were great friends, and she had a house like Josh's with four floors. Not to mention, her dad owned a country club, so that's definitely where it would be. 'Sure! What time?' I clicked send. 'About 6.' she replied. 'Ok! Saturday right?' I sent. 'Yep! Maybe you'll sing for us?' she replied. 'Of coarse. I'll bring my electric and tell Grace. See ya then!' I replied. 'Bye!' I went to search my next message. It was from.... Andy. It said 'call me'. I decided to call him after I checked this message. I didn't know who this "Heath" was, but I opened it anyway. The message read, 'Let's hang out sometime. Call me.' I replied, 'Do I know you?' I closed my laptop and decided to not wait for his answer. Sure I was still single, but maybe Andy, or even Jake might ask me out. I pressed call to my phone. I pressed it to my ear, and waited for him to pick up. "Hey Emma!" his familiar accent said. "Hey Andy! Why did you want me to call you?" I asked. "Oh, well I was wondering if you wanted to come to football practice?" he asked. "Andy, I'd love to, but I have track the same night." I said. "Well, then I will watch you at track!" he said. "Sounds good!" I said. "Well, I better go! I'll see you tomorrow!" he then hung up. I laid down on my bed, twirling my butterfly pendant on my finger. I decided I'd walk around for a while. I slipped on my boots and grabbed my bag. I decided to also grab my acoustic guitar. I slung it in it's case. I began walking on the sidewalk, the air was warm. The leaves were still bright green, only a few oranges and reds and yellows here and there. The sky was a brilliant blue, and fluffy cumulus clouds filled the sky. I spotted a little hill, and sat down. I pulled out my guitar. Thinking of a song, I decided on one.

"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'd never let you go.

When those shadows almost killed your light.

I remember you said, don't leave me here alone.

But all that's dead and gone and past, tonight.

Just close your eyes

The sun is going down

You'll be alright

No one can hurt you now

Come morning light

You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window,

Darlin' everything's on fire

That war behind our door keeps raging on.

Hold onto this lullaby

Even when the music's gone

Gone

Gone

Just close your eyes

The sun is going down

You'll be alright

No one can hurt you now

Come morning light

You and I'll be safe and sound

Sound

Sound"

I finished strumming and laid on the grass. I finally felt peaceful when I saw a head looming over me. To my surprise, I saw Andy. 'Hello beautiful." he said winking.

"Hey Andy. What are you doing here?" I asked.

"isn't it obvious? I came to ask you something." he said matter of factly.

"And what is that?" I asked. I watched him pull out a little square box. It had a little red bow on it. He handed it over, and I gingerly took it. I opened it to find a small note. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' it read. I saw underneath the most beautiful pair of earrings I had ever seen. The were little red hearts, outlined in gold. They had my initials carved in fold as well. "Yes! Thank you Andy!" I said, hugging his neck. 'Every kiss begins with Kay, right?" he said. Surely enough, underneath the box there was Kay written. Smiling, I kissed him. How can life get any better?
