Ashton was currently on his way to his friend Sarah's house for their weekly movie night, which they had done very Friday night since seventh grade.
he walked up into her driveway making his way to the side door that was always unlocked. not a very smart move, if you ask him, but it wasn't his house so he decided to leave the matter alone.
Ashton let himself in and made his way to the living room where all of his friends were gathered.
"hey guys." he greeted, immediately situating himself on the beanbag next to Calum, who shot him a dirty look.
"dude, we are not sharing this thing again." Calum complained. he'd had enough of Ashton's antics to last him a life time.
"aw, come on mate. I won't tickle you this time, swear." Ashton giggled, earning a look of disbelief from Calum.
"yeah, right. and my middle name is Sebastian." he said sarcastically.
Haven gave an overdramatic gasp, covering her mouth with her hand. "really? and all this time, here I was thinking it was Thomas."
a little laughter spread throughout the living room at Haven's comment, causing her to smile. she loved her friends, they were the only ones who she felt completely comfortable around. other than her family, of course.
"hey, where's Jules?" Abby asked, looking around the room for their other friend.
"please don't call me that," Juliet said, walking into the room and plopping down on the couch in a very unladylike manner.
"there you are! finally," Michael rolled his eyes at her, but smiled to make sure they all knew he was joking.
"sorry, got held up at home. mom made me do the dishes first." Juliet complained, rolling her eyes. "it was Stacey's turn to do them, too."
"that sucks," Luke spoke up, giving her a frown.
"yeah, it does. okay, well, who's ready to start the movie?" Sarah asked, swapping the remote from hand to hand.
"let's do it. what're we watching?" Ashton asked, chuckling as Calum groaned and finally relented the beanbag to him, rolling off and lying on the floor facedown.
"I was thinking we could watch Insidious." she responded, crouching down to put the disc in the dvd player.
"yes! I haven't seen that in forever," Michael exclaimed, flopping dramatically onto Juliet's lap. laughter spread through the room as Juliet shook her head, a small smile forming on her face at Michael's antics.
"ew, get off of me, you loser." Juliet joked, pushing Michael's head from her lap.
Sarah groaned as she stood back up and made her way to the recliner where she had previously been laying, cuddling with Abby. "everyone ready? I'm gonna start it." she said as she hit the 'play' button on the remote.
"woohoo!" Michael yelled as the movie began, earning several "shh's" from his friends, and even a "shut up, Mikey," from Haven. he chuckled quietly to himself and made himself comfortable on the couch before finally settling down and looking around at his friends. as cheesy as it sounds, he couldn't imagine his life without them.
he had no idea what was coming next.
