The mystery guy walked up to Killua with a small grin plastered on his face, "So, we meet again."
"Seems so. I'm Killua, Ava's dad." Killua replied.
"Gon. Marley and Izzy's dad."
The children giggled behind them. They were definitely up to something, but what?
"Sooo, dad?" Ava said suddenly.
"Yes, Ava?"
"Can I go to the sleepover or...?"
"Is that okay with you, Gon?"
"Yeah, of course. Ava is always welcome, as well as you, Killua."
A red hue blushed over Killua's pale cheeks. He was slightly embarrassed like always. He hated how obvious it was though and how easily it could be seen.
"Uh, so what time would be good for me to bring Ava?" Killua asked, mostly to distract himself and stop the blush from spreading even more.
"I'd say around 6? But whatever time is good for you is good for me."
"Okay then.. Come on, Ava. Let's get you ready-"
"Oh uhm, Killua?"
Killua jerked his head around at the mention of his name, some what surprised.
"This may be a little forward.." Gon started. He nervously scratched his neck before continuing. "I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner, tonight. Y'know.. as a small thank you for earlier?"
Killua couldn't help the blush that appeared on his face once again. He was flattered? Embarrassed? Both words could be used, but in all honestly, he didn't know what he was feeling right now.
"Y-Yeah, sure. We can go after I drop Ava off, is that okay?" Killua asked.
"Yeah! That'd be great." Gon exclaimed. "Guess I'll see you in an couple hours then?"
Killua nodded and walked with Ava back to his car. He was definitely due for some teasing when he got home, and he was ultimately somewhat prepared for it. Since he knew it was coming. It was inevitable.
"What the actual fuck was I thinking, Marley?" Gon whined as he left the school's parking lot.
"Hey, no cursing in front of Izzy." Marley scolded.
"Sorry, Izzy." Gon said apologetically, looking back at Izzy through the mirror. "But come on, why'd you let me say that, Marley?"
"Do you think I'm a mind reader or something, dad? I had no idea you were gonna say that, I didn't even know you guys met earlier."
"Yeah, we met at the mall, but that was before I knew he was Ava's dad."
"Well, since you decided to run your big mouth, you have a date tonight-"
"IT IS NOT A DATE!" Gon yelled, causing Izzy to flinch a bit and look up from her tablet. Gon sighed and sent Izzy an apologetic look. "It's not a date, I'm just thanking him for what he did earlier at the mall."
"What did he do?"
"He helped me find Izzy. She ran off again at the mall and I guess she bumped into him. But, he brought her back to me. I just wanna say thanks to him... again."
"Izzy, I thought dad told you to stop running away like that in public. Do you not realize how dangerous that is? You could get kidnapped, and if you did, dad would be upset. You'd never get to see dad again, you understand that, right?"
