"So, what do you think of Gon?" Ava asked her father suddenly.
"He's cool." Killua said bluntly.
"Really? That's all you're gonna give me? He's not just cool, dad." Ava said with a roll of her eyes. "That's something you and I both know."
"Fine, he's nice."
"Dad, can you please be serious with me?"
"I am being serious." Killua said turning away from his daughter, heading to the cabinets to find something to make for dinner. "I genuinely don't know what you want me to say."
"Dad, you're so- ugh." Ava said walking back to her room.
Killua scoffed, "Yeah, so I've been told."
After that conversation, Killua didn't even feel like cooking.
"Fuck it. Takeout for dinner," Killua yelled, loud enough for his kids to hear.
"Dad, can we go to Mr. Gon's house?" Sophia begged.
"Not tonight."
"Dad, please?"
"No."
"Dadddd, please? IpromiseI'llcleanmyroom-" Sophia stopped for a brief second and took a deep breath, "-andIwontleavemytoysaroundthehouseanymoreand-"
"Hey, hey, calm down. Fucking breathe, please?" Killua sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I don't understand why I spoil you guys so much."
"Because you love us, duh." Ava said, somehow magically appearing from her room suddenly.
"Sometimes." Killua joked.
"So, since we're going over there.." Ava started with a smirk. "Should I call Gon and let him know?"
"Wouldn't that be the obvious thing to do, smartass?"
"I would say so, fellow smartass." Ava said with another smirk appearing on her face.
"Don't be a follower, be a leader and stop cursing."
"Maybe if you didn't curse so much, I wouldn't be tempted to curse."
"How about you don't do what I do."
"How about you don't do it at all?" Ava suggested.
"You know, you got a real smart mouth. You're nothing like your mom."
"Yeah, I can see that."
"Go call Gon." Killua said sternly with a serious face.
"Whatever." Ava said walking to her room.
"And take your sister with you."
Ava groaned and turned around, picking up her sister, and carrying her up the stairs.
"Fucking smartass." Killua said, sighing and walking to his room to get dressed.

Now, they were all in the car on their way to see Gon and his daughters. Killua didn't really like intruding on people, he felt that if he just distanced himself, he would be able to keep friends.
But, at the same time, he couldn't say no to his daughters. That was one of his biggest weaknesses. He always had a hard time saying no when it came to them.
"Dad."
Killua's eyes perked up at the mention of his name. He looked in the mirror to show that he was listening.
"Have you talked to uncle Kurapika lately?" Ava asked.
"Yeah, it's been a while since we've seen him and cousin Kuramani." Sophia agreed.
