"Wow, that was certainly something." Killua said as he parked the car in the restaurant's parking lot.
"Yeah, like I said before, it's embarrassing." Gon said with a blush forming across his cheeks.
"I actually thought it was pretty cute."
"Cute? No way. Do you even know the english translation for that song?"
"I recognize some words, but some I don't quite remember since I focused really hard on learning english when I moved to America.. so.." Killua explained.
"Oh, I see."
Killua nodded and proceeded to open his car door, signaling Gon to do the same. They both exit the car and go to the backseat to get their kids. Both kids wanted to be held for some odd reason so they were carried inside the restaurant.
"Yes, how can I help you two?"
"Reservation for Gon." Gon stated blankly.
The lady looked through some papers on her desk and checked off a box. "Okay, right this way please."
Killua allowed Gon to walk in front, since he made the reservation after all. After they were seated, Killua took in his surroundings. The place was unquestionably fancy, good thing Killua was dressed for the occasion.
"So, what made you pick this place? It seems fancy."
"Oh I bring Izzy here all the time. There's a little play room in the back for the kids and there's also a little playground right through that door over there. "
"Oh I see. Hey Soph, you wanna go play with Izzy on the playground?" Killua asked.
Sophia nodded and Izzy held her hand, leading her to the playground. Both dads softly smiled at the sight.
"So, where are you from?" Gon asked suddenly.
Wow. Killua sure wasn't expecting that question. But, he realized he probably wasn't going to make any conversation either, so he was glad Gon made an effort.
"Somewhere you're probably not familiar with," Killua started. Gon raised an eyebrow, waiting for Killua to finish. "I lived in a dormant volcano, known as Kukuroo mountain to most."
"Yeah... never heard of it."
"Yeah, I figured. Anyway, where are you from?"
"I'm from a small island called Whale Island."
"Yeah... never heard of it," Killua said, repeating Gon's comment from earlier.
"Figured. Uhm, do you have any other kids?"
"Nah, just Sophia and Ava."
"I'm guessing they don't have the same mom?" Gon asked. "Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I just want to get to know you a bit."
"It's fine. To answer your question, no, they don't have the same mother."
"I see. So, how did you meet their moms?"
"Well, Ava's mom was actually the daughter of one of my dad's friends. She came to visit and we got along well. We went to a party one night and I got wasted, that day was a true pain in the ass for me so, like most, I thought alcohol would help. One thing led to another and boom. There's Ava nine months later."
