A/N Please proceed with caution, there may be topics that are more than just uncomfortable to read or think about in this chapter and particularly in future chapters. Please review the summary about trigger warnings, these chapters WILL hurt and it is not my intention to attack any of you. Trauma will be discussed and "experienced" in future chapters. If you feel that it is too much for you I will not blame you for skipping the chapters and moving on to the final chapter and ending. Now on with the story.🔥
It's almost time for graduation and it's kind of scary. We are about to finally enter the world we have all dreamed that we could help save. I mean sure we have all been working on our internships and it certainly didn't help that we were constantly being attacked every time we turned around. But everything considered maybe it did help?
Is it too late to change my mind? Yes, yes it is. If I knew everything I do now back before, when I was still in middle school. I don't know what I would have picked. To endure it or find a differnt way, I just don't know but I have worked hard for my dream. So have my classmates and even the extras in class B, who knows they might actually be worth something in the future?
Regardless classes went on and it only got harder as our finals got closer. Even Aizawa Sensei and All Might were stricter. We studied hard and Icyhot, Deku and I were constantly studying and training, not to mention all of the different strategies and ideas we came up with. We ended up starting to have our sessions out in the common room because Deku thought it would be a good idea to get someone from the support class's opinion on a bunch of our ideas.
It was some girl, I think her name was Mei? Anyway she was more than a little weird, calling her projects her babies but even I could see she was a mad genius. We had blueprints drawn up and more than just a few notes taken down. Not just for her either, Deku had his notebook out too and notes and summaries written for our new support items and upgraded suits. We didn't really change our appearance much at all, I think mine changed the most just because of how we condensed my gauntlets but changed how they held the fluid so that they could work better, reducing the waste that I am currently dealing with.
It was a nice design and visually appealing, at least to me, but it constantly left bruises on my legs and weighed my arms down too much making extended fights riskier not to mention how often they got hung up on things just walking by on a normal day. Yes, it was well past time for me to upgrade them and I needed to do it before graduation.
Of course that wasn't the only change but it was the most visual one. Icyhot had upgraded his regulators to keep his hot side cool and his cold side warm and now he had them along his legs too, because in a fight he needed to have that mobility. Then there was Deku, his suit needed more bracers but not like the current ones he already has. He needed something light but also good for stealth, I noticed a long time ago that his movements are clunkier than before and he was generally louder which in the middle of a big fight, no big deal there is a lot of noise there already. But during patrols and say undercover missions it would be a huge risk.
Mei even helped me convince him to add shock absorbers to his boots and his face mask was upgraded to not only clean the air but to send updates via a little eye piece to warn him if there was something in the air like poison or drugs. It would send him the notification even if he wasn't wearing the mask on his face and it was just around his neck even.
There were several other upgrades and some changes in the materials as well but not much that a villain or even another hero would notice unless they knew how his suit worked before. When the changes were finalized we sat back and relaxed before Mei started cackling and I felt my skin crawl.
As per her and Deku's long standing deal, we all tested a handful of her new inventions and hell I even added one to my hero suit. Rocket boots, did I need them? Technically no, but did I NEED them? Fuck yeah I did. She even made some modifications so that in case of an emergency I would be able to carry one person using them as well. It did however take a few test runs and I'm quite happy that I have some immunity to explosions thanks to my quirk, because my feet hurt like hell now.
